STANDARDS FOR ATTIRE AND PERSONAL GROOMING / APPEARANCE

Attire (for all)

Mondays to Thursdays : FULL School uniform (necktie can be taken off during and after lunch break)
Fridays : School PE attire
Shoes and socks :
- White or black canvas string shoes. No prominent branding, design, styles, logo and coloured linings.
- White socks (with white shoes) or black socks (with black shoes) that are without prominent branding,
design, styles, logo and coloured linings are allowed.
- White shoes with white socks / Black shoes with black socks

Belt :
- Boys must put on black/green belt with small buckle with the size of 1 ½” x 2” and without prominent logo
/branding.

Personal Grooming / Appearance

For female students
▪ The girls’ hair must be neat, not fashionable, not coloured, not permed or gelled.

▪ Long hair should be plaited or tied back neatly with a black or dark blue ribbon. Only black / brown /
dark-blue hair bands should be used where necessary.
▪ Girls with short hair: front fringe must not touch the eyebrow and length of hair must not be longer
than shirt’s top collar.
▪ Girls with loose hair (at the side) or longer front fringe must be neatly pin up their hair with a hair clip
/ headband. All hair clips and headbands must be in plain black, dark brown or dark blue and they
should not contain any ornaments or extra decorative materials.
▪ Girls with pierced ears are allowed to use plastic ear sticks (in black, or transparent colour).

For male students

▪ All boys must wear a short and neat hairstyle according to the following guidelines (refer to attached
pictures)

▪ front – fringes not below the middle line of forehead,

▪ top - no more than 5 cm

▪ side - ears not covered and Side-burns are not allowed.

▪ back - below earlobe line and not touching

▪ Any inappropriate / outlandish styles are not allowed.

▪ Dyed / gelled hair is not allowed
▪ The school management reserves the right to reject any new hairstyle it deems inappropriate for
school.
▪ Wearing of moustache and beard are not allowed. Boys must maintain a clean-shaven appearance at
all times in school.

▪ Pierced ears are prohibited
