AS PER CL. 4.6.2 OF IRC:58-2015 OR AS PER CL. 6.6 OF IRC-15-2011.
7. PAPER BACKING OF COMPRESSIBLE DEBONDING STRIP IS NOT NECESSARY IF THE STRIP IS NON-ABSORBANT TYPE.
8. JOINTS CAN BE SEALED BY ADOPTING ONE OF THE TWO OPTIONS OF DEBONDING STRIP/BACKER-ROD AS SHOWN.
9. DEPENDING UPON THE SEALANT MANU FACTURER'S RECOMMENDATION, THE SIDES OF THE GROOVE MAY HAVE TO BE SAND BLASTED/SAND PAPERED AND PRIMED.
10. THE GROOVE AND SEALANT DIMENSIONS SHOWN ARE ONLY FOR GUIDANCE.
11. BACKER ROD/BACK-UP ROD SHALL BE EXPANDED CLOSED CELL POLYETHYLENE FOAM.
12. ENDS OF THE SEALING GROOVE SHALL BE PLUGGED BEFORE POURING COLD POLY-SULPHIDE SEALANT TO AVOID SPILLAGE LATERALLY.
