I. Job Purpose

The Account Officer is responsible for soliciting and generating new commercial and corporate
loan accounts and managing existing ones, while ensuring desired profitability and satisfactory
credit quality of handled loan portfolio.

II. Primary Accountabilities – Key Activities

III. Qualifications and Competencies

Qualifications
 Graduate of a four-year college program, preferably business-related
 With four to seven years of experience in bank relationship management,
credit, structured loans, and project finance
Competencies
 Must have knowledge on commercial banking and corporate finance products
 Must have knowledge on financial analysis and risk management
 Must have leadership and organizational skills
 Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
 Must be computer-literate

IV. Working Relationships

Internal
 Region Head/Team Head – for leadership and guidance on account management

 Branch Managers – for servicing and maintenance of client’s deposits


 Operations Group – for implementation of clients’ bookings and other
transactional requirements

 Documentations Group – for the preparation of the necessary documentary


requirements for loan bookings

External
 Direct contact with customers’ mid-level managers to develop/maintain business
relationship
