1. PROPOSE: -
The purpose of this procedure is to provide the minimum requirements Supply and Fabrication of
Derrick Structure to meet the specific contractual specification requirements of standards and client
specifications.

2. REFERENCES
AS per Client Specifications.

3. PROCEDURE
3.1. SEQUENCE OF WORK.
• Delivery of Derrick structure items to assembly area.
• Offloading of material on assembly area.
• Power Requirement.
• Appointed Person.
• Assembly of Derrick Structure Items.
• Q.C Check.
• Dismantle Derrick structure Items.
All Derrick Structure Items will be inspected visually at Plant Area and Assembly Area by
supervisors.

3.2. PREPARTION
• CONCRETE SUPPORTES
• PLEATS DIFFERENT THICKNESS
• MOBILE CRANE
• POWER SOURCE
• ASSEMBLY TOOLS

3.3. LAY DOWN AND ASSEMBLY AREA


Lay Down and assembly Area of 100 m X 40 m special close range to mobile crane

3.4. UNLOADING AND ASSEMBLY PROCEDUR


• Mobile Crane for unloading to be jointly assessed by the plant team and safety department
for safe lift.
• Working Area must be barricaded with appropriate Safety Signs displayed during the
unloading and assembly Procedure.
• Assembly operation procedure to be complied with relative to the unloading materials.

3.5. POWER REQUIREMENT


• Power supply shall be recommended for assembly.
• The chosen armor cable to run under ground to prevent frequent running over by assembly
area moving machines.
• Continues cable is recommended to avoid power leakage from jointed end.

3.6. SEQUENCE OF ASSEMBLY FOR DERRICK STRUCTURE 3 FACES:


Assembly area must be barricaded with appropriate safety signs displayed during the
offloading and assembly procedure.
Tier 5 (From +61.500 till +76.300) will be used as overlap between shipment 1 (from Tier
1 till Tier 4) and remaining part of Derrick structure (from Tier 5 till Tier 12).
Tier 5 column to column horizontal centerline and diagonal measurements for each Face
will be recorded in Part 1 Trial assembly report to be checked before starting Part 2 Trial
assembly for each Face.

3.7. ASSEMBLY
a. Face B from Level +0.0 to Level +76.300 (Tier 1 till Tier 5):
1. Install concrete supports with level and dimension.
2. Main pipes top of concrete support Length 77 meters from level +0.0 to +76.300
horizontal.
3. Assembly all vertical and horizontal bracings of Face B by bolts -or studs- and nuts.
4. Check main dimensions.
5. Dismantle all bracings and release for painting process.

b. Face C from Level +0.0 to Level +76.300 (Tier 1 till Tier 5):
1. Install concrete supports with level and dimension.
2. Main pipes top of concrete support Length 77 meters from level +0.0 to +76.300
horizontal.
3. Assembly all vertical and horizontal bracings of Face B by bolts -or studs- and nuts.
4. Check main dimensions.
5. Dismantle all bracings and shared column between Face B and C and release for painting
process.

c. Face A from Level +0.0 to Level +76.300 (Tier 1 till Tier 5) including guide rails:
1. Install concrete supports with level and dimension.
2. Main pipes top of concrete support Length 77 meters from level +0.0 to +76.300
horizontal.
3. Assembly all vertical and horizontal bracings of Face B by bolts -or studs- and nuts.
4. Check main dimensions.
5. Flush all guide rails internal splice welding.
6. Check Guide rails alignment and spacing (using fabricated frame with same dimension of
Riser Guide arms) for assembled length.
7. Dismantle all bracings, Guide rails and column and release for painting process.

3.8. Trial assembly Tolerances:


• Trial assembly Tolerance will be as per ANSI/AISC 303-16 Clause 7.13.
