of the public authorities on the eco-modulation proposals
Rate: a broadly stable
contribution for 2022

In offering companies solutions that enable 100% of your packaging to be reused, recycled or recovered, we have been at your
service for more than 25 years to help limit your environmental impact.
Thanks to your loyalty and your contribution, Citeo finances and organizes the collection and sorting of your packaging for
recycling, mobilizes consumers on the act of sorting, accompanies you in your ecodesign approaches and in the development of
new modes of consumption such as re-use.

In 2022, emerging from a situation that was exceptional in multiple respects, we are taking care to limit the economic impact for
our customers of the cost of recycling your household packaging in France

This is reflected in contributions that will be broadly stable, with the rates by weight that are for most of them decreasing, and
accélérateur de the end of the Sorting Info bonus, which will become mandatory on January 1, 2022.

Main changes to the 2022 rate

•R ates by material will drop, with the exception of those for non-recoverable materials such as PVC, where the rate will
increase as a result of their non-recyclable and non-recoverable nature.
• The rate per CSU is increasing, but with a reduction in the increases applied per packaging unit.
• Lastly, the eco-modulation system will be subject to noticeable changes with, in particular, the end of the bonus for placing
Sorting Info on packaging, as this information will be mandatory on all packaging from 2022 under the law.
• Sector-specific and flat rates : the sector-specific rates (for declarations below 500,000 CSUs placed on the market) will
remain almost stable with an increase of 0.5%.The flat rate (for declarations below 10,000 CSUs placed on the market) will
remain stable at €80.

You can count on Citeo’s teams to support you in your ecodesign approachesto limit environmental impact of your packaging

the basic definitions of recyclable packaging
What is recyclable packaging? • THE RATES encourage the use of packaging with mature and sustainable recycling channels.
• BONUS/PENALTY encourages to avoid the presence of disturbances and to gain in circularity by integrating
Packaging is said to be recyclable if it —from as early as now— is able to enter a recycling channel,
