 Make new friends, but cherish the old ones.

 Learn to listen. Opportunity sometimes knocks very softly.

 Read more books and watch less TV.

 Live a good and honourable life. Then when you get older and think back, you'll get
to enjoy it a second time.

 Trust in God but lock your car.

 Plant a dream, and watch it grow!

 A loving atmosphere in your home is so important. Do all you can to create a tranquil
harmonious home?

 In disagreements with loved ones, deal with the current situation. Don't bring up the
past.

 Read between the lines.

 Never cut what can be untied.

 Share your knowledge. It's a way to achieve immortality.

 Watch for big problems. They disguise big opportunities.

 Be gentle with the earth.

 Pray. There's immeasurable power in it.

 Never interrupt when you are being flattered.

 Mind your own business.

 Kind words do not cost much, yet they accomplish much.

 Don't trust a man/woman who doesn't close their eyes when you kiss them.

 Once a year, go someplace you've never been before.

 If you make a lot of money, put it to use helping others while you are living. That is
wealth's greatest satisfaction.

 Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a stroke of luck.

 Learn the rules then break some.

 Remember that the best relationship is one where your love for each other is greater
than your need for each other.

 `Judge your success by what you had to give up in order getting it.

 Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you. 

 Live a balanced life - learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and
dance and play and work every day some. 
 Take a nap every afternoon. 
 When you go out in the world, watch out for traffic, hold hands and stick together. 
 Be aware of wonder. Remember the little seed in the Styrofoam cup: the roots go
down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or why, but we are all like
that. 
 Goldfish and hamsters and white mice and even the little seed in the Styrofoam cup -
they all die. So do us. 
 And then remember the Dick-and-Jane books and the first word you learned, the
biggest word of all - LOOK!
WHAT I’VE LEARNED FROM MY LIFE:-
 I've learned that no matter how much I care, some people just don't care back.
 I've learned that no matter how good a person is, they're going to hurt you every once
in a while, and you must forgive them for that.
 I've learned that money is a lousy way of keeping score.
 I've learned that talking can ease emotional pains.
 I've learned that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.
 I've learned that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance.
 I've learned that you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for
life.
 I've learned that it's not WHAT you have in your life, but WHO you have in your life.
 I've learned that good friends are family members that we are allowed to choose.
 I've learned that we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.
 I've learned that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the
last time you see them.
 I've learned that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are,
but we are responsible for ourselves.
 I've learned that you shouldn't compare yourself to the best others can do, but to the
best you can do.
 I've learned that no matter how thin you slice it, there are always two sides
 I've learned that it takes a long time to become the person I want to be.
 I've learned that it's a lot easier to react than it is to think.
 I've learned that you can keep going long after you think you cannot.
 I've learned that either you control your attitude, or it controls you.
 I've learned that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be
done, regardless of the consequences.
 I've learned that patience takes a whole lot of practice.
 I've learned that there are people who love you dearly, but just don't know how to
show it.
 I've learned that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down will
be the ones to help you get back up.
 I've learned that there are more of my parents in me that I thought.
 I've learned that when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me
the right to be cruel.
 I've learned that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want him/her to
do mean he/she doesn't love you with all he/she has.
 I've learned that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had
and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've
celebrated.
 I've learned that you should never tell a child their dreams are unlikely or outlandish.
Few things are more humiliating, and what a tragedy it would be if they believed it.
 I've learned that it isn't enough to be forgiven by someone else. Sometimes you have
to learn to forgive yourself.
 I've learned that no matter how bad your heart is broken, the world doesn't stop for
your grief.
 Maybe we are supposed to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one, so
that when we finally do meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for
that gift.
 When the door of happiness closes, another opens, but oftentimes we look so long at
the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us.
 The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a
word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.
 It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we
don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.
 Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they'll love you back! Don't
expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart, but if it doesn't, be content
it grew in yours.
 It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and a day
to love someone, but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.
 Don't go for looks; they can deceive. Don't go for wealth; even that fades away. Go
for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day
seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile.
 Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be,
because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you wants to do.
 Always put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the
other person, too.

the most of everything that comes along their way.
 The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past. You can't go on well in
life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.
