APPSCO is a not-for-profit organization located in Peoria, IL. The organization was created to have a safe
environment that challenges minds and fosters mentorship through business leaders for students. Tasks included:
- Creating application platforms for local businesses in the Peoria area.
 - Reached out to local businesses to see if they were interested in collaborating.
- Once working with a business, using marketing strategies to influence customers to download the
application.

Obed and Isaac’s Microbrewery and Eatery

Hostess, Server/ June 2018- August 2021
Located in Springfield and Peoria, IL, Obed and Isaac’s is known for their microbrewery. I began my time a
hostess and eventually got promoted in being a server. My work experience taught me how to interact with
customers, sell products, and plan events.
Plato’s Closet
Keyholder, Social Media Coordinator/ October 2020 - Current
Plato’s Closet is a second-hand retail store. We purchase used clothing items and accessories through sellers and
price it lower than the original retail price. Keyholder tasks includes:
- Opening and closing the store
- Counting money and has authorization to the company’s bank
- Shift manager
Social Media Coordinator tasks includes:
- Using the Hootsuite platform to posts photos, videos, information, etc. to our social media pages.
(Instagram, Facebook, Twitter)
- Creating ways to engage with our followers. (ex: weekly prizes, sneak peaks, etc.)
- Developing our social media ambassador program to gain recognition on our social media platforms.
Curvicality Inc
PR Intern/ Summer 2021
Beginning in 2018, Curvicality Inc. is a women’s plus-size magazine. During my time at Curvicality Inc. we
began the relaunch of the magazine after the beginning of COVID. Tasks included:
- Creating press releases and media kits.
- Began development on Instagram
- Secondary research

Awards and Acknowledgements

National Honors Society

The National Honors Society is given to students who elevates a school’s commitment to the values of
scholarship, service, leadership and character. During my Senior year of high school I was given this award.
PRSSA
The Public Relations Student Society of America is a national wide organization for students interested in public
relations and communication. During my time at Illinois State University, I was a part of their PRSSA chapter.
Challenge for Charity
One of my class projects required us to gain awareness and fundraise for an organization of our choosing. We
chose to support the Safe Harbor Shelter as the winter was predicted to be cold. As head organizer for the
canned-food drive, I partnered with the Deans of ISU to help promote the charity. By the end of the canned-food
drive we earned over $1,000 to donate to Safe Harbor.

Hootsuite is the leading social media dashboard used for social media management. Summer 2021 received my
Hootsuite Platform Certification.
