The learners demonstrate how to manipulate text, graphics and images to
create ICT content intended for an online environment
The learner shall be able to independently apply the technique of image
manipulation and graphic design to create original or derivative ICT
content from existing images, text, and graphic elements for use in specific
professional track.
 Evaluate existing websites and online resources based on the
principles of layout, graphic, and visual message design.

What is the difference between raster image files and vector graphics files?
Jumbled Letters: Group the leaners into five. Each group will be given a
strip of papers with jumbled words written on it. Images will flash on the
screen and serve as a clue that will help them to get the right word. The
group that will finish the task earlier than the given time will be given an
additional five points.

Music, Media and Information Literacy).

Ask the leaner to define “layout” on their own words.
 Layout - A layout may be symmetrical where there are equal
weight of elements on both sides of the page.
Basic Principles of Graphics and Layout.
 Symmetrical - A layout may be symmetrical where there are equal
weight of elements on both sides of the page.
Ex. Geometrical figure like
  Asymmetrical - A layout may be asymmetrical where there is an
artistic and different intensity on one side of the page.
Ex.

 Text - The text type should be legible, appropriate font face, and
arranged either left justified, right justified, or centered

 Image - The image should be proportionate, with sharp color and

high resolution

 Proximity and harmony - The elements should be closed together

and not scattered and arranged apart from each other.

 Consistency - There should be uniformity of theme on each page.

 Color and shape - Use color to create interest by providing variety

in design like the use of color contrast and shapes

 Emphasis - There should be one point of interest in a page.

The element to be emphasized should have a different size, color,
shape, or background
