Call to order: Meeting call to order at 8’o clock in the morning by Ma’am Ivy Capuso.

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

 The session started with a prayer by Sir Mernie Magbanua followed by

Pambansang awit by Ma’am Althea Pedrajas and Opening Remarks by
Ma’am Ma. Emerald Jade Devaras.
 After the opening remarks was the Presentation of House Rules and Activity
Matrix by Ma’am Glenda Bustamante. She presented the flow of the SLAC
Session.
 The introduction of the guest Speaker was presented by Ma’am Ivy Capuso.
 The first topic discussed by Ma’am Judy Ann Barretto. She discussed
CONTENT AND PEDAGOGY OF THE K TO 12 BASIC EDUCATION PROGRAM
AND APPLICATION OF KNOWLEDGE OF CONTENT WITHIN AND ACROSS
CURRICULUM TEACHING AREAS. She highlight that teaching students
teacher must understand the subjects they teach and teachers must have
focused on many aspects of teaching.
 The second topic was the DIFFERENT STRATEGIES TO DEVELOP CRITICAL
AND CREATIVE THINKING/HIGHER – ORDER THINKING SKILLS (HOTS) by
Ma’am Lea Santos. She highlight that Higher – order thinking skills students
have the opportunities to connect their prior knowledge to engage in new

 ideas and they can reflect their new learning and connect it for future
learning.
 The third or last topic was FINANCIAL LITERACY EDUCATION by Ma’am
Glenda Bustamante. She highlight that we need to value money so that we
can handle our finances better.
 The whole session was successfully led by the mentor of the SLAC session
Ma’am Glenda Bustamante.
 The session ended with a prayer by Sir Eduard Frederick Palec.
