Time related questions

1. If 1 gate is Sunday then what will be 31 st day?


Multiple of 7 + 1 is Sunday. So 7*4+1= 29 gate is Sunday. So 31 gate is Tuesday
2. If 5 gate is Monday then what will be 22 gate?
Multiple of 7+5 is Monday. So 7*2+5= 19 gate is Monday. So 22 gate is Thursday

4. Odd days: Divide by 7 and remainder is odd days. For ex; 29 has 1 odd days

Count number of odd days for century, years, leap year and days. Add them and divide by 7, the
remainder corresponds to the day as shown in table above
9. If January 10 2005 is Monday, what day is 9 April 2009?
Subtract given year from year to be found. Count no of odd days considering sign. Also count
odd days for months and days considering sign

11. If January 1 is Sunday, then next year January 1 will be Monday for normal year. If there is leap
year (February 29 days in between), then next year January 1 will be Tuesday.
12. To find angle between hands of a clock. For ex: 2:30. At 2 o clock, hour hand makes with minute
hand an angle of 2*30=60 deg. In 1 minute, minute hand gains angle of 5.5 deg. So in 30
minutes, minute hand will gain 30*5.5=165 deg over hour hand. So angle made will be 165-
60=105 deg. And answer is 105 deg.
13. In one minute, minute hand gains 5.5 degree more than hour hand.
14. Any relative position of hands of clock is repeated 11 times in every 12 hours. So they also
coincide 11 times in every 12 hours. But they are at right angles 22 times because that happens
twice
