During this expert service, ExxonMobil Industrial Lubricants
field engineers will:
• Conduct lubricant storage and handling studies across the plant
• Provide comprehensive review and analysis of present practices

 pdate current practices and recommend improvements to ensure
best-in-class performance

 ocument recommendations and potential savings in a formal
Engineering Service Report

Application
ExxonMobil Industrial Lubricants field engineers work with local plant maintenance and engineering personnel to:
• Schedule the storage and handling study
• Secure approvals for plant access and access to data on lubricant usage, inventory, and storage capacity
• Identify and obey all safety and work rules and respect confidentiality of processes and sensitive information
• Conduct a walk-through review of the facility
• Review current storage and handling practices
• Review records of consumption, location of inventory, logistics, manpower resources and skill levels, order break-points,
order patterns, etc.
• Identify trends, critical products, insurance, safety, and environmental issues
• Identify any capital or manpower investments that may be needed
• Prepare an Engineering Service Report to document findings; compare findings with other best-in-class operations
in the same industry; and identify opportunities for improvement, potential cost savings, and estimated return on
investments recommended
• Present and distribute the completed report to plant management
• For ExxonMobil Planned Engineering Service (PES) customers, include lubricant storage and handling improvements as a
program objective

An Engineering Service Report that documents the findings ExxonMobil Industrial Lubricants field engineers:
