Rounds 7-35: sc around (16)

Stuff from round 1 to round 13, leave the rest unstuffed.
Cut a wire about 30cms long and fold it in 2. Fold the edges to
the size of the snail's body. Insert the wire into the body and
continue crocheting around it.

Round 36: (sc 6, dec) x2 (14)

Round 37: (sc 5, dec) x2 (12)
Round 38: (sc 4, dec) x2 (10)
Round 39: (sc 3, dec) x2 (8)
Round 40: (sc 2, dec) x2 (6)
Fasten off, leaving a little length. With a wool needle, thread the
yarn through the front loops of the remaining 6 stitches and
tighten to close the opening. Weave in end.

With the black embroidery thread, embroider the eyes on round

4, 3 stitches apart, and the mouth on round 6, centered in
relation to the eyes.

You can put some blusher on the cheeks.

Fold the body at about round 15, and sew the shell to the body. You can use white or off-white thread, or threads
in the colors of the shell.

Stuff the shell lightly before you finish sewing. Be careful not to stuff it too much so as not to distort it.
