BlendDesign was enlisted by the
client to create a brand system
for their proposed pizzeria, with
the working name, Blaze Pizza.
The client’s concept was to
deliver best-in-town products at
affordable prices, but a chief
concern was the quality of their
visual identity and initial market
push - considering they had very
limited cap space to convincingly
actualise their vision.
LAMELŌ RESTAURANT
A CASE STUDY
Our strategy included a name
change, creating a tagline, along
with defining the business
archetype and customer profiles.
Lamelō Restaurant is a
lifestyle brand, with the capacity
to engage and motivate its
customers to wilfully promote
the business through social media
posts and recommendations.This
is reflected in the use of the
branded identity within the
restaurant (activity wall, chalked
menu board, etc) and on the
products’ packaging. The original
idea evolved from a pizzeria into
a full service restaurant, serving a
variety of dishes.

DISCOVERY We defined the business, using a
combination of some client and
market insight.

LOGO DESIGN Initial mockups were designed as a painted image on a rustic
looking board, a nod to client’s preferred smokey finish.
The photos provided the logo‘s organic colors.
Client selected the emblem (Logo no.2).

Originally designed to have a cosy
atmosphere, with a char-grilled
finish to its interior and packaging
— the final space and collaterals
retained some of the familial
warmth, and smokey finish of the
original idea. The client was best
pleased..
We reconciled their vision with
their pocket.
