I. Introduction:

We are all required to be numerate to maximize our potential and to make a positive contribution to society. To be numerate
is to confidently and effectively use mathematics to meet the everyday demands of life. Numeracy is important for individuals to
develop logical thinking and reasoning strategies in their everyday activities. We need numeracy to solve problems and make
sense of numbers, time, patterns and shapes for activities.
Numeracy help people gain the fundamental skills necessary to achieve success in life. These are some of the reasons
why schools create different programs to develop the numeracy skills of learners.

With these reasons, Palagaran Elementary School unites with division project BLAZE and district Project STARE and
Project APFFO that promotes continuous improvement of learners’ numeracy skills. In this regards, the school came up with the
Project TMAC that means Thirty-Minute Arithmetic Challenge. This project focuses on developing the basic numeracy skills of

learners that falls on the non-numerate bracket based on their respective grade levels. It caters remediation activities for 30 minutes
to be given twice or once a week depending upon the needs of the learners.

II. General Objectives:

IV. Evaluation
Evaluation of the said projects be done with the following:
