materials to establish new facts and conclusions. Research falls into two categories including
qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative research refers to the process of using concepts,
experiences, and phenomena to emphasize on the views of the participants (Majid & Vanstone.
2018). The purpose of qualitative research is to gain an understanding of the subject using
explanatory models and theories. In most cases, qualitative research is used to answer questions
about experiences. The analysis methods for qualitative research include narrative analysis,
discourse analysis, thematic analysis, interpretive phenomenal analysis and the ground theory.
The analysis methods for qualitative research aim at categorizing behavioral and verbal
information used to tabulate the final documented summary (Korstjens & Moser, 2018). An
example of research question in qualitative research is it like to grow in a family below the
poverty line? Another example is how to obese people describe their selves?
numerical data with the aim of developing patters and predictions for testing causal relationships
about a broader population. Therefore quantifiable data must be gathered for an objective
deeper knowledge of the situations that affect people (Ahmad et al., 2019). The results about the
wider population can be communicated through numbers and statistics. The data analysis
methods for quantitative research include cross-tabulation numerical analysis and computational
business that fail due to the set regulatory procedures in the US? Another example is what is the
proportion of people that develop mental problems from the information they consumer on social
media?
