I believe that a "student-athlete" is considered eligible

if the student is enrolled in and regularly attending at

least six semester hours of university credit
coursework at the campus where the student will
participate, has earned a grade point average of not
less than 1.700 during the previous semester of
attendance, and new freshmen are eligible upon
admission and enrollment in the university if they
have established a 1.700 minimum cumulative grade
point average wherein the local campus registrar at
the student's record campus shall be the certifying
authority.

When it comes to recruiting and scouting student-

athletes, a student who has not yet started ninth-grade
coursework becomes a prospect if the kid has received
any financial aid or other perks. In general, the
institution does not provide to prospective students.

In administering the Athletic Scholarship, each award

will be in the form of a tuition credit that will be
applied immediately to the student account up to ten
days before the academic session begins. The student
leader must fill out all needed forms and application
materials provided by the center for student
involvement before receiving the scholarship. Before
the credit is applied toward tuition expenses, these
items must be on file with the center for student
involvement. The student leader scholarship may be
delayed or revoked if the appropriate forms and
application documents are not completed.
