1. What do you know about the duties and responsibilities of an economist / engineering manager?
(Choose your own specialisation.)

Compile, analyze, and report data to explain economic phenomena and forecast market trends, applying

mathematical models and statistical techniques.

Develop economic quickline and standards and prepare points of view used in forecosting trends and
formulating economic policy Teach theories principles, and methods of economics. Forecast production

and consumption of renewable resources and supply, consumption and depletion of non-renewable

resources. Study economic and statistical data in area specialization, such as finance, labour, or

agriculture. Supervise research projects and students study projects.

2. What skills and knowledge are required to become a good economist / engineering manager?

Writing communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience. Speaking-

Talking to others to conveg information effectively. Mathematics-using mathematics to solve problems.

Active listening-giving full attention to what other people saving, taking time to understand the points

being made, asking questions ass appropride, and not intenpting at inappropriate times. Personnel and

human resaurces-knowledge and benefits, labour, relations and negation, and personnel information

systems. English language- knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the

meaning and speeling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
