The research question was clear and the project manageable
HL section A, within the word limit. The research proposal contained all the

focused. The candidate should have referenced the information

Criterion B – Sources and data (written report)

The candidate gathered information from three primary sources

—an interview, a questionnaire and through observation; the

information that was appropriate, varied and sufficient to

SL section A, The analysis and evaluation falls between the descriptors for 4
sample A and 5 marks. Issues relate to a lack of referencing of supporting
data for comments made, such as the reference to toxins.
SL section A, There was room to analyse the forces and weights used in the
sample B force field analysis in greater depth and the significant data in
the appendices was not fully utilized to support statements in

the SWOT analysis. Similarly, the evaluation was not always

fully substantiated. It was not clear why the negative result of
HL section A, the force field analysis and its restraining forces was ignored.

HL section A, Criterion E – Conclusions (written report)
