COURSE TITLE:

PHYSICAL EDUCATION II
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This subject deals with both
theoretical and practical aspects of the course in folk and
modern dancing. The active involvement of the students is
emphasized. Part I tackles the Philippine folkdances which
are useful in the strengthening of national consciousness as
well as the preservation of our cultural values; while Part II
focuses on Popular and Modern Dances to encourage the
students to become more creative.
Course credit: 2 units
Pre- requisite – Physical Education I
COURSE OUTCOME:
– Identify the different dance;
– Demonstrate and identify the fundamental dance
positions;
– Execute with faculty the basic dance steps in 2/4,
¾, and 4/4 time music;
– Perform the dance terms correctly:

– Follow and execute verbal dance instructions from a
dance teacher or leader;
– Interpret within dance institutions;
– Dance with ease and grace of movements; and
– Develop an enlightened commitment to the
national ideals by discerning, preserving and
developing desirable traditions and values of the
Filipino heritage.
