WRITTEN ASSESSMENT
Directions: Read each question carefully. Choose the letter of the correct
answer. Write your answer on the space provided before the
number.

___1. What is the most important factor when choosing materials to buy?
A. reliable C. of good quality
B. low cost D. suitable for the application/purposes

___2.
A customer named Dick went to a convenience store and picked
grocery items. He immediately paid the bill of items which made
him shock of how fast the transaction.
Which input device did the cashier use to faster the transaction?
A. flatbed scanner C. barcode scanner
B. pen scanner D. hand-held scanner

___3. Which is a function of arrow keys?

A. Allow to move the cursor up, down, left, or right in the document.
B. Move the window to another part of the desktop.
C. Allow to maximize and/or minimize the window.
D. Navigating programs and applications.

___4. What happens when thicken dusts block the airflow of the computer
system?
A. Dusts melt down due to the heat produced by the components.
B. Components inside heat up and can be damaged.
C. Cool air maintains inside due to the blockage.
D. Cooling fans inside will stop working.
___5. How many bits are there in 100 megabytes (mb)?
A. 80 B. 800 C. 8,000 D. 80,000

___6. How will you identify in 5S of management when a computer

technician is applying sustain or “Shitsuke” (in Japanese term)?
A. If he is assigning responsibility, tracking progress, and continuing
the cycle
B. If he is incorporating 5S into standard operating procedures
C. if he is removing unnecessary items from each area
D. If he is cleaning and inspecting each area regularly

___7. What is referred as engineering drawing?

A. technical drawing C. un-dimensioned drawing
B. microcircuit drawing D. Process flow diagram

___8.
Components of an electrical circuit or electronic circuit can be
connected in series, parallel, or series-parallel. The two simplest of
these are called parallel and series and occur frequently.
How does parallel circuit work?

A. Electrical components are connected alongside one another,

forming extra loops. An electron will not pass through every
component on its way round the circuit. If one of the bulbs is
broken, then current will still pass round the circuit through the
other loop. If one bulb goes out, the other will stay on.
B. A series circuit has only one path in which its current can flow.
Opening or breaking a series circuit at any point causes the entire
circuit to "open" or stop operating.
C. There exists more than one path for current to travel (not series),
yet there are more than two sets of electrically common points in
the circuit (not parallel).
D. The current in a circuit goes through every component in the circuit.
Therefore, all components in a connection carry the same current.

___9. What plan preparation must be used to analyze whether the planned
response was very effective?
A. assessment C. testing and exercising
B. review D. response
___10. Why pencil should NOT be used inside the computer chassis?
A. Pencil contains lead that act as a conductor that may damage
components of the computer.
B. Pencil contains metal that act as an insulator that may damage
computer parts.
C. Pencil conducts electricity that may cause overheat of computer
components.
D. Pencil is unnecessary inside the computer chassis.

___11. What is a systematic care and protection of tools, equipment and

machines to keep it in a safe, usable condition, limit downtime and
extend productivity?
A. performance maintenance C. preventive maintenance
B. prescriptive maintenance D. predictive maintenance

___12. Which is a safety device used to protect an electrical circuit from the
effect of excessive current?
A. AC/DC source C. wires
B. fuse D. load

___13. Who is the responsible person of a job order to do specific tasks?

A. client B. student C. technician D. costumer

___14. Mr. JD, a computer technician, conducted testing. He found out that
if a processor is intended to run with a HYPERTHREADING
capabilities, then it should work as expected.
What basic method of testing did Mr. JD is using?
A. continuity test C. performance test
B. voltage or current test D. diagnostic test

___15. Evaluating the test process is important because it will determine the
success of similar future tests.
Why must we evaluate test processes?
A. to assess the skills of the technician in performing test procedures
B. to find out the possibility of having erroneous test procedures
C. to determine the reliability of the test procedures
D. to determine the quality of the test procedures
