Duties and responsibilities:

 Conduct necropsy of aquatic animals.
 Conduct examination of water, fish, shellfish and fishery products for important food borne
pathogens for NIFTDC projects and other requesting clients.
 Serve as resource speaker, render technical assistance and provide practical hands-on trainings for
on-the-job-trainees and other requesting individuals and institutions.
 Preparation and recordkeeping of laboratory results and reports including Purchase Requests,
Project Proposals and monthly and annual accomplishments of Microbiology and Molecular
Pathology Laboratories.
 Conduct swab test to maintain workers’ sanitation and hygiene at Korea-Philippines Seafood
Processing Complex.
 Assist in the conduct of comprehensive shellfish profiling of natural shellfish farming grounds
along Lingayen Gulf.
 General upkeep of Molecular Pathology and Microbiology Laboratories.
 Perform other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor and the Center Chief.
