1.16 Zero adjustment shall be done by external zero (micrometer) adjustment.
2.1 Alarm Contact type: 2 SPDT contact for High and Low alarm, with Temperature
indicating pointer as the common terminal. Alarm shall be actuated by making of the
contact.
2.2 Alarm setpoint adjustment assembly shall be on the window for High and Low Alarm
setpoints adjustment.
3.1 Cable entry: 1ൗ2” NPT plastic cable gland (IP 65 or better).
3.2 Electrical Termination: Suitable for maximum 2.5 mmଶ cables, screw terminal/spring
loaded.

6.0 Inspection & Testing:
Inspection & testing shall be done at the supplier’s works by the purchaser or his
representative prior to dispatch, in order to check the conformity of the Temperature
gauges with alarm contactsto the above mentioned specifications. The supplier shall
notify the purchaser, well in advance, regarding the inspection schedule. The supplier
shall have the entire necessary test set ups and test instruments for the relevant test at the
time of giving an inspection call; supplier must submit a set of all his internal test reports
to the purchaser for review. The tests specified herein are in addition to and in no way
replace the Routine and the Type tests carried out by the supplier during the production
stage. Following tests shall be carried out on Temperature gauges with alarm contacts:
a. Functional checks.
b. Calibration checks.
c. Repeatability checks.
7.0 Quality Assurance Certificates: Supplier must submit the internal quality assurance
reports for each temperature gaugewith alarm contacts.
6.0 Material and workmanship: Material chosen and workmanship shall be in accordance
with good practices pertinent to the manufacture of high quality temperature gauges
suitable for the service conditions and other provisions of this specification.
8.0 Guarantee: These temperature gauges with alarm contactsshall be guaranteed for
performance and workmanship and against any manufacturing defects for a period of 12
months after installation from user department or18 months from the date of receipt of
material.
9.0 Packaging & transportation will be supplier’s responsibility. Good packaging techniques
shall be used in order to avoid any type of damages to the temperature gauges during
transportation & handling.

10.0 Preference will be given to the direct manufacturer. Purchaser reserves the right to
evaluate the manufacturing and testing facilities of the supplier.
