TEACHERS' STRATEGIES IN TEACHING VOCABULARY DURING COVID 19 PANDEMIC IN MTSN 8


TULUNGAGUNG, this research was conducted in one of the elementary schools in Mtsn 8 Tulungagung.
The subjects of this study were the English teacher of MTSN 8 Tulungagung and students of grade 7 and
grade 8. The instrument of this research was to conduct online interviews using google form. The
results of this study indicate that the strategies used by teachers in teaching vocabulary during the
COVID-19 pandemic are using dictionaries, videos, reading texts and pictures. It can be said that
teachers use the grammar translatet method in implementing these strategies. use it to increase
students' vocabulary and help teachers to provide materials and assignments to students. Student
responses show them feel that the teacher's strategies are interesting. In addition, students also
provide positive and negative responses because they feel that there is ease and difficulties when the
teacher implements the strategy.

STUDENTS' LEARNING STRATEGIES OF ENGLISH FOREIGN LANGUAGE BY THE STUDENTS IN MAS
ANNURTANGKID, this research was conducted in one of the 2nd grade students at MAS
ANNURTANGKID. The subjects of this study were grade 2 students. The instrument of this research used
questionnaires and interviews. The results of this study are as follows, based on the results of the study,
it can be seen that students tend to use metacognitive strategies and social strategies. However, there
are some students still weak in metacognitive strategies. The results of the questionnaire show the
strategy metacognitive got 80.4%, cognitive strategy got 82%, and social strategy earns 90.4%.

STUDENTS' PERCEPTIONS OF ONLINE LEARNING ENGLISH DURING THE COVID 19 PAMDEMIC, this
research was conducted in one city of Jambi. The subject of this research is the teacher of grade 12
students. The method used is a survey method. Data collection is done through a questionnaire. In this
study, researchers found that learning English online during The COVID-19 pandemic has received a
positive perception because it is flexible and effective. Online learning at MAN 1 Jambi City was done
using several application options, namely: WhatsApp, Telegram, Zoom and using Google Classroom.
Based on data analysis From this, it can be concluded that students' perceptions of language learning

THE STUDENTS PERCEPTIONS OF THE ONLINE MEDIA YUSED BY TEACHER IN LEARNING ENGLISH, this
research was conducted in 11th grade SMA N 9 GOWA. The subjects of this study were 11th grade high
school students. The research instrument in the form of interviews was distributed to students
consisting of:

of 20 eleventh graders at SMA Negeri 9 Gowa. The results of the study show
that the type of online media used by teachers in language learning

English is Google classroom, Youtube, Google forms and WhatsApp (WA).

Researchers also provide some positive perceptions of online media that

prevent and decide the spread of Covid-19 and be effective, efficient and economical

time. Meanwhile, there are also some negative perceptions of online media

used by teachers in learning English, namely: lack of understanding

or difficulty in understanding the material and doing the given task

by the teacher, boring and unpleasant and ineffective, no

efficient and not time-saving.
