PHASE 4

I have often questioned myself about whether I want to be a teacher, whether I have what it

takes to teach people of different ages, help a community and efficiently perform all that

the profession entails. When I have had the opportunity to be in a classroom, I feel that the

work has a great weight, I mean the responsibility to teach and give a good example to

many young children and perhaps some adults, but at the same time I am encouraged to put

effort, because if I learn to perform in a proper way the profession will make a big change

in students, this would be important in their lives.

The main reason why I wanted to seek the path of teaching was to see many teachers, not

all but a great majority, who have lost the motivation to teach and transmit an energy and

an inaccurate message to their students, because they are not trained, do not provide quality

education and also do not care about the social context of their students, they only focus on

the results that can be measured. When I saw that this education was being given to my

children, I thought that maybe I could do something better and start working for the

children and youth of my region, which I plan to do fully when I graduate.

I understand that this is not easy, the study represents a big challenge and more when

you want to make a change, it is difficult to see today's youth waste valuable time and show

total disinterest in their lives and their futures, swelling the lists of people with difficulties

and in total poverty. For this reason I would like to work in a rural environment, where
there is no decent education, to try to make visible all the needs and gaps that exist in

education, to try over time to achieve a change of consciousness and dignify the most

neglected areas.

For my tutor I only have words of gratitude and admiration, because I know that it is not

easy to teach, and more in a virtual context, but I see that he does it with great skill and

willingness to do a quality job showing that he cares about his students.
