You can be assured that every care is taken by us to protect your goods from the uncertainty of moving
and transportation. Despite this, experience has taught us that sometimes the unexpected can happen and
accidental loss and/or damage to your goods may occur. To help you overcome any such potential setback as
quickly and painlessly as possible we can arrange Shipment Protection Cover as set out in this enrolment form.
We urge you to consider the benefits to Shipment Protection Cover and recommend you take such cover
for all shipments including storage.

Valuations made easy Do not undervalue your shipment

Every item you intend to move must be declared
This Shipment Protection Cover does not allow
for selective cover, all items contained within your
shipment must be listed and valued. Any item not
listed and valued will not form part of this Shipment
Protection Cover and ‘undervaluation’ will apply to
the total value of your shipment as detailed below.
High valued items
High valued items are and individual item or set worth
more than EUR 1500. When completing your list
of high valued items, please provide as much detail
about the item as possible. For example, instead of
‘painting’ you should, for example specify ‘Blue beach
scene oil painting by artist’.
Replacement cost at destination
Consider the cost of your personal effects in your
destination country. A quick internet search should
give you an idea about the cost of purchasing
goods in your destination country.
In the event of a claim under valuation will be applied.
This is when an item or shipment has not been
covered for the replacement retail value. Settlement
will be reduced by the same proportion of the
undervaluation.
As an example only, if EUR 5,000 of cover is
purchased for a table where the replacement cost
is EUR 10,000 and there is a claim against the table.
The claim will be limited to the same proportion of
the loss as the declared value bears to the value of
the goods should have been covered, in this example
50% of the repair cost or 50% of the replacement
value, EUR 2,500.
Application of average
The application of average will apply in the event of
a claim to determine the unit value of an item that has
been grouped together. To calculate the unit value
the total value will be divided by the quantity.

As an example only, if you have 10 suits worth EUR 500 each you should write:

Cover inclusions
Electrical and mechanical derangement
Electrical and mechanical derangement cover
provides protection to any electrical item that is being
moved e.g. blenders, toasters, TV’s, DVD players,
computers. This cover protects your item if it arrives
at destination and doesn’t work but has no visible
external damage.
Goods must have been subject to packing and
testing/assessment by Santa Fe Relocation or its
agents and confirmed to be in good working order.
Not applicable to motor vehicles, boats and trailers
or items more than six years old.
Pairs and sets
If part of a matching set is lost or damaged, resulting
in an incomplete set, then consideration will be given
for the fair reduction in value of the pair or set, taking
into consideration the importance of the lost or
damage item to the pair or set.
Mold and mildew
Goods must have been packed by Santa Fe
Relocation and or its agents. This specifically covers
against damages resulting from mould and mildew.
The maximum amount recoverable under the mould
and mildew cover is EUR 20,000 unless additional
cover is purchased. The purchase of additional cover
will increase the maximum amount recoverable
to 75% of the value of your shipment.
Wine and liquors
We can include cover for wine and/or liquors
being shipped up to EUR 10,000. This will only
cover breakage and/or loss and does not include
consequential losses such as spoilage or change
in taste.
Fine arts
Up to EUR 100,000 of fine arts cover is included
within this Shipment Protection Cover. If you wish
to cover more than EUR 100,000 worth of fine arts
in your shipment, please complete our fine arts
enrolment form.
Cover options
Shipping/moving costs
You can include cover to protect the cost of your
move for added peace of mind. If your entire shipment
does not arrive at the final destination you can claim
for the cost of your move. This also covers the
shipping costs for any items that require replacement
and cannot be purchased in the destination country
and delivery costs for any items being replaced as
part of a claim.
Storage cover extension
This Shipment Protection Cover is designed to protect
your personal effects from the time your goods
are packed at your residence, until the goods are
delivered at the agreed final destination.
Where shipments go into storage, cover can be
extended to provide protection for the duration of
the storage period at the warehouse. This is subject
to an additional monthly fee.
If you choose not to extend your Shipment Protection
Cover to protect your personal effects in store, any
previous cover will end, and the warehouse will be
considered as the final place of destination.

Please note that storage taking place in a warehouse
not belonging to Santa Fe Relocation and/or our
Agents ends any coverage.
Exclusions
Damage exclusions
This Shipment Protection cover does not cover
damages caused by or because of ordinary wear
and tear and/or gradual deterioration, seizure or
confiscation by authorities (e.g. customs agents),
vermin, insect, animal or moth damage.
Clothing, handbags and shoes
Santa Fe Relocation use a wide range of packing
material and clothes are generally packed in flat
and/or hanging wardrobe cartons. During transport
the wrinkling of clothes may occur.
This Shipment Protection Cover does not include
pressing or laundry/dry cleaning of clothes due to
wrinkling or creasing under any circumstance.
We recommend that handbags and shoes are
wrapped in tissue paper and placed into the original
manufacturer packaging if available. If the original
manufacturers packaging is not available, they will be
packed into standard cartons.
This Shipment Protection Cover does not include
deformation of handbags or shoes (e.g. bending,
twisting, wrinkling, scratching, denting, etc.)
which may occur during the move process.
Consequential loss
This Shipment Protection Cover does not cover
consequential losses (i.e. any other losses you
may suffer as a result of a loss or delay, damage or
non-delivery of your shipment, including loss of data).
Climatic conditions
Damages caused as a result of climatic change is not
covered under this Shipment Protection Cover. Our
packers will pack and protect your items however,
even with the best packing materials and procedures
personal effects may be affected by the change
in temperature and humidity when moving from
one location to another. An example of this maybe
lacquered furniture cracking.
Owner packed goods
Any items packed by the owner are classified
as ‘owner packed goods’ (or abbreviated as PBO).
Any damage or missing items in the owner packed
cartons or packages are excluded from this
Shipment Protection Cover.
Motor vehicles
This Shipment Protection Cover excludes
scratching/denting/marring unless vehicle condition
report is completed, non-factory accessories and
goods packed in motor vehicles.
Excluded items
In no case, shall this Shipment Protection Cover bank
and treasury notes, firearms, furs, jewellery (including
precious metals and stones), money, perishables
(e.g. makeup, perfumes, food) plants, securities,
stamps, watches or weapons.
Disposal of damaged items
This Shipment Protection Cover does not cover
the costs for disposing of damaged items.

Documentation
Shipment Protection Cover shall only be in place once you have completed and returned your enrolment form
to your Santa Fe move coordinator and a Certificate of Cover has been issued. This must be prior to packing.
Once packing is completed all boxes and packages to be transported will be numbered and entered into a
packing inventory list. you will be required to sign the packing inventory list confirming a description of your
items, the condition, the number of items packed and removed from your residence. It is your responsibility
to ensure that the box/package description is clear and to your satisfaction before you sign.
At the time of delivery you will be asked to confirm receipt of the numbered items per the packing inventory
list and will be required to sign for receipt of the items. if there are any numbered or individual items missing,
please ensure they are noted on the packing inventory list or delivery report.
All missing items must be noted on the packing inventory list or delivery report, failure to do so could result
in your claim for those items being declined. All items should be unpacked at the time of delivery. Claims for loss
or damage for self-unpacked items or boxes unpacked after the delivery personnel have left the delivery location
will not be considered under any circumstance.

Claims made easy
In the unfortunate event that your personal effects are lost and/or damaged our dedicated claims team will
work with you to resolve your claim as quickly as possible. All items must be retained until your claim has been
finalised or written approval is given by your claim handler. If you dispose of items prior to your claim being
finalised or written approval being given by your claim handler your claim for those items will be declined.
1. Claim notification
Log on to www.wkwebster.com/santafe within
30 days of delivery to register your intent to claim
and provide a full list of the items you are claiming
for. If you are unable to make your claim notification
online, or require assistance please contact
claimsdepartment@santaferelo.com prior to the
30-day notification period expiring for assistance.

2. Claim submission
You then have 45 days from the date you filed your
claim notification to provide supporting documents,
including photographs, repair quotes, third party
replacement estimates. Once your claim has been
submitted you will be allocated a claim handler who
will be your point of contact throughout your claim.

All supporting documentation must be provided
within the timescales.
If you repair or replace an item prior to your claim
submission or without approval from your claim
handler there is no guarantee that you will be
reimbursed fully for those costs.
3. Claim handling
Each claim will be reviewed in accordance with
the terms and conditions of this Shipment Protection
Cover. Claims will be reviewed on an individual basis.
As a general guide, the following sets out how a claim
is likely to be handled.
Repair estimate provided: Your claim handler will
review the repair estimate and arrange for the repairs
to proceed or pay you the repair cost.
Repair estimate not provided: If the damage is
minor and aesthetical (i.e. the damaged item has
not lost its function) aesthetical compensation will
be offered, if the primary function has been lost your
claim handler can assist you in locating a restorer.

The item cannot be repaired, and the primary
function has been lost: Written confirmation from
a restorer maybe required to confirm the item cannot
be repaired. Your claim handler may offer settlement
based on the replacement estimate provided. If full
settlement is offered, then the Underwriter reserves
the right to take ownership of the replaced item.
For missing items: Your claim handler will check
to see if the missing items are noted on the delivery
paperwork. Your claim may be declined if the missing
items were not noted on the delivery paperwork
(see paragraph headed ‘Documentation’).
4. Claim settlements
Once settlement has been agreed your claim handler
will send you a claim acceptance form for you to sign
and return. If you have opted for a deductible, your
claim settlement will be reimbursed to you, less
the deductible.
Please note that we are only able to make payments
to the bank account of the beneficiary listed as the
applicant of this Shipment Protection Cover.

Cancellation
You have the right to cancel up to fourteen (14) days
after receipt of your certificate of cover provided that
packing has not commenced. For the avoidance of
doubt: no cancellation is possible from and including
the first day of packing. Notification of cancellation
must be provided in writing prior to the first day of
packing and before the expiry of the 14-day time limit,
by mail, fax or email to your Santa Fe move specialist.
Should you exercise your right to cancel, we
will refund your premium minus a EUR 50
administration fee.

Shipment Protection Cover
Terms and conditions
Caution: Be sure you read, understand and comply
with all terms and conditions. Failure to comply with
any of the terms and conditions may result in reduction
of the recoverable amount or could invalidate your
protection under this Shipment Protection Cover.
1. PROPERTY COVERED
Household goods and personal effects, antiques, fine
arts, motor vehicles, boats and trailers as declared
and valued on the Enrolment form attaching to and
forming part of this Shipment Protection Cover but in
no case, shall bank and treasury notes, firearms, furs,
jewellery (including precious metals and stones), money,
perishables (e.g. makeup, perfumes, food) plants,
securities, stamps, watches or weapons be covered.
2. RISKS COVERED
‘All risks’–goods packed by Santa Fe or their agents.
A. Against ‘All Risks’ of physical loss of or damage
to goods in accordance with the following London
Institute Clauses current at the time
of commencement of transit:
Institute Cargo Clauses (A) or (Air), the relevant
Institute War Clauses and Institute Strikes Clauses,
Institute Classification Clause, Institute Radioactive
Contamination, Chemical, Biological, Biochemical
and Electromagnetic Weapons Exclusion Clause,
Institute Cyber Attack Exclusion Clause.
Subject always to the Termination of Transit Clause
(Terrorism) (JC056).
B. GENERAL AVERAGE AND SALVAGE CHARGES
General average and salvage charges payable
as provided in the contract Airfreightment in the
event of the apportionment of financial liability for
the loss arising from the jettisoning of cargo by
dividing the costs among all those whose property
(ship or cargo) was preserved by the action. For the
purpose of claims for general average contribution
and salvage charges recoverable hereunder the
subject matter covered shall be deemed to be
covered for its full contributory value. General
average deposits are only payable on General
average deposits receipts.
C. OWNER PACKED GOODS
Cover as above but excluding claims for:
Breakage, scratching, denting, chipping, staining
and tearing of owner packed effects unless directly
caused by fire, stranding, sinking or collision of the
vessel or collision or overturning of transporting
land conveyance. Also, excluding claims for missing
items of owner packed cartons or packages,
including trunks, suitcases and the like.
3. DURATION OF COVER
A. Shipment Protection Cover is to apply from such
time as packing shall commence at origin residence
(‘’Commencement Date’’) and be continuous
during normal course of transit until unpacking is
completed at destination residence or departure
of moving personnel from destination residence
(whichever shall occur first), provided that all other
Terms and Conditions of this Shipment Protection
Cover are met.
B. Storage cover extension if applicable, will apply for
the duration of the storage period warranted that the
property is stored in the warehouse of Santa Fe and/
or its Agents.
C. Notwithstanding the above the duration of cover
in respect of War and Strikes risks shall be in
accordance with the relevant Institute War and
Institute Strikes Clauses.
4. VALUATION OF GOODS
A. New replacement cost: All personal and
household goods shipped must be valued at the
replacement cost at destination as supported by a
complete valued inventory. Coverage requires that
high value items be specifically declared and valued.
The settlement based on full replacement value will
be the lesser of repair cost/replacement value at
destination or as per the valuation on stated on the
valued inventory. The Underwriters reserve the right
to replace the damaged or missing items of like
kind and quality and to request proof of value
for any item being covered under this Shipment
Protection Cover.
B. Undervaluation: If you do not provide a detailed
valuation for all items being shipped at the full cost
of replacement at destination, you will be required to
bear a proportion of any loss or damage in the same
proportion as your undervaluation including any
applicable labour charges for repairs.
C. Agreed value clause: Notwithstanding anything to
the contrary herein, and the issue of a Certificate of
Cover, the value reflected against each item enrolled
shall not be regarded as an agreed value between
the Underwriters and you. The amount recoverable
by you in respect of each and every item lost or
damaged will be the lesser of the sum entered in
the Enrolment Form as the destination replacement
value or the actual replacement value at destination,
whichever is the lower.

D. High value items: High value items and/or
items not normally shipped in a household goods
shipment valued at over EUR 1500 per item or set
must be specifically declared and valued at the
replacement cost at destination prior to issuance
of the Certificate of Cover. High Value Items
are defined as, but not limited to the following:
Antiques, objects of art, valuable carpets, china,
crystals, collection of records, tapes, pictures,
paintings and other like goods.
5. SPECIAL COVER INCLUSIONS
A. Electrical and mechanical derangement:
Subject always to the relevant goods being
packed by Santa Fe and/or their agents, cover is
extended to include damage to the goods caused
by electronic and/or electrical and/or mechanical
derangement provided the items have been subject
to testing/assessment by Santa Fe and/or their
agents prior to transit and confirmed to be in good
working order. This extension does not apply to
motor vehicles, boats, and trailers or items older
than six (6) years.
B. Pairs and sets: In the event of loss or damage
to any item or items forming part of pair or set the
indemnity afforded by this Shipment Protection
Cover shall be limited to the reasonable and fair
reduction in value of the pair or set by reason of the
loss or damage to the affected items having regard
to the importance of the affected items within the
pair or set. All the articles constituting the pair or set
shall, at Underwriters’ option, become their property
in the event that the Underwriters agree to pay the
total loss of the pair or entire set.
C. Mould and mildew: Subject always to the relevant
Goods being packed by Santa Fe Relocation
and/or their agents and notwithstanding the
atmospheric and/or climatic conditions exclusion
clause, cover is hereby extended to include damage
to the Goods resulting in mould and/or mildew. The
maximum amount recoverable under this clause is
EUR 20,000 unless additional cover was purchased,
in which case the maximum amount recoverable
under this clause will be 75% of the total declared
replacement value of the shipment as declared on
the enrolment form.
6. OPTIONAL COVER EXTENSIONS
A. Shipping costs: If Shipping Costs extension is
taken, in the event of replacing lost or damaged
goods shipping costs will be covered to the extent
of replacing and shipping goods from the origin
shipping country. This extension also provides
cover if the entire shipment does not arrive at the
agreed final place of destination and is declared as
missing or destroyed in which the maximum amount
recoverable the shipping cost declared on the
Enrolment Form.
B. Wine and liquors: Cover for breakage and or
loss for wine and or liquor is provided within this
Shipment Protection Cover. The maximum amount
recoverable is EUR 10,000.
C. Fine arts: This Shipment Protection Cover includes
cover for fine arts, which must be specifically listed
and valued as high valued items. The maximum
amount recoverable is EUR 100,000.
7. EXCLUSIONS
In addition to the exclusions specified in the Institute
Clauses and/or elsewhere in this Shipment Protection
Cover, the following exclusion clauses for loss, damage
will apply:
A. Ordinary wear and tear and/or gradual deterioration,
seizure or confiscation by authorities (e.g. customs
agents), climatic conditions or extremes of
temperature, vermin or moth damage.
B. Marring, scratching, chipping and denting of
used electrical appliances and used furniture.
This exclusion will be deleted if a “Statement of
Condition” is reflected on the Packing Inventory
List or Delivery Report list signed by both You or
Your authorised representative and the moving
personnel.
C. Loss or damage due to mechanical, electric or
electronic derangement if the covered items are
under a manufacturer’s warranty. Further, if the
covered items exceed six years of age, and are not
professionally packed by the movers.
D. Loss or damage due to seizure or confiscation by
authorities, loss of data or consequential loss or
damage.
E. Bank and treasury notes, firearms, furs, jewellery
(including precious metals and stones), money,
perishables (e.g. makeup, perfumes, food) plants,
securities, stamps, watches or weapons.
F. Claims for partial loss (shortage) of goods from theft,
pilferage, mysterious loss or disappearance or any
cause whatsoever are excluded unless reported
written exception is made by You, Your authorised
representative and/or the moving personnel at the
time of delivery at destination. The time of delivery
is the period between arrival of goods at the agreed
destination residence and departure of moving
personnel from the agreed destination residence.
G. Scratching, denting or marring of automobile or
motorcycle or mobile home unless a “Certificate
of Condition”, or a similar document, stating the
condition of the automobile or motorcycle or mobile
home at the time the same entered the custody of
the moving personnel noting all defects, if any, is
signed by You or Your authorised representative
and the moving personnel.
H. Coverage in respect of non-factory installed
accessories or removable items on automobile or
motorcycle or mobile home unless specified.
8. PROCEDURE OF CLAIM
A. There are definite time limitations for claim
submission
(i) Claim notification: Claims must be notified within
30 days of delivery via www.wkwebster.com/santafe
and must include a complete list of the items being
claimed.
(ii) Claim submission: Further it is mandatory for all
supporting documents to be provided in a timely
fashion not to exceed 45 days from the date of
claim notification. All the damaged items must be
retained until the claim has been settled otherwise
Underwriters can decline your claim.
(iii) Failure to provide a claim notification within 30
days of delivery and/or not provide supporting
documentation within 45 days from the claim
notification date will result in your claim being
declined and your claim file closed.
B. Repair and replacement clause: Underwriters
shall be entitled at its sole option to replace,
with like kind and quality, or repair any article
damaged (whether wholly or in part), or to pay cash
compensation, in any event not exceeding the
covered value thereof. Always provided that in the
event of replacement or cash payment for actual or
constructive total damage, the item is surrendered
to and becomes the property of the Underwriters.
Underwriters reserve the right to request proof
of ownership and/or value of any items claimed
missing or damaged.
C. Depreciation: Underwriters liability is restricted
to the reasonable cost of repair and excludes any
reduction in value arising from repairs or restoration
of a damaged item or depreciation as a
result thereof
D. Apportion value: Where goods are grouped
together under one valuation, for the purpose of
loss assessing, Underwriters reserve the right to
apportion the value over each item and then over
each quantity.
9. TERMS AND CONDITIONS
A. E.U. Disclosure Clause (UK): The Parties are free
to choose the law applicable to this Contract. Unless
specifically agreed to the contrary this Shipment
Protection Cover shall be subject to English Law.
B. Not an agent of the Underwriters: Santa Fe is
the owner of the Shipment Protection Cover and
is not an agent of the Underwriters of the policy.
There is no separate policy between You and
the Underwriters. Santa Fe is not authorised to
make any representation what so ever concerning
coverage under this Shipment Protection Cover. All
questions concerning coverage shall be directed
exclusively to the Underwriter, Aviva PLC.
C. Subrogation clause: The Underwriters shall
be entitled to subrogate any losses against third
parties for sums paid out as part of this Shipment
Protection Cover.
D. Other insurance or cover:
This Shipment Protection Cover does not cover any
loss or damage which at the time of the happening
of such loss or damage is covered or insured by
or would, but for the existence of this Shipment
Protection Cover be covered or insured by any
other existing Policy except in respect of any
excess beyond the amount which would have been
payable under such other Policy, had this Shipment
Protection Cover not been effected.
E. Deductible: This Shipment Protection Cover is
subject to a nil deductible
F. Premium payment: Underwriters shall only
be liable to settle a claim recoverable under this
Shipment Protection Cover provided Santa Fe
confirms that all fees have been received. In the
event that fees are outstanding, Underwriters will
settle a valid claim once the fees have been paid.
10. CANCELLATION
You have the right to cancel up to fourteen (14) days
after receipt of your certificate of cover provided that
packing has not commenced. For the avoidance of
doubt: no cancellation is possible from and including
the first day of packing. Notification of cancellation
must be provided in writing prior to the first day of
packing and before the expiry of the 14-day time limit,
by mail, fax or e-mail to your Santa Fe Co-ordinator.
Should you exercise your right to cancel, we will refund
your premium minus a EUR 50 administration fee.
