❏ Passive footprint

Active footprint~ User sharing information on social media

Sites deliberately.

Passive footprint~ Information of that is left behind after

Using the internet.

 THINK, REFLECT, RESPOND

So these are some results that come up after searching

my name on the internet. I don’t even know where these
came from, i’m fine with it till its not personal. I gotta say
that person did this he did a good job.
How might your digital footprint affect your personal brand
and future?
● There’s nothing negative about my digital footprint.
● A dog’s picture doesn’t affect me in any way.
● An account I made to search for jobs in summer but never posted anything
but what school i went to.
Why is it important to be aware of one’s digital footprint?

● If good, leaves a positive reputation

● People get to know about you
● Your habits, personality.
 SAFETY
● Limit the data you share on the social media.
● Don't enter personal data on public Wi-Fi.
● Use an identity protection service.
● Delete old accounts.
 DIGITAL PERMANENCE
● Digital Permanence examines the history and evolution
● focus on estimating the projected lifetime of data
● the factors that influence digital data permanence.
How would you explain the idea of “digital permanence” to
anyone in your spheres of influence?
● Educate them about it
● It will stay on there forever
● Ask yourself twice before posting anything
● Questions like it be appropriate and it not being a harm to anyone in any way
● Is it going to affect me in future?
Why should we care and be aware of “digital
permanence?”

We should care about digital permanence because whatever we post will stay
with us forever and it will never go away. These also might affect us in future.
