Ash Wednesday

He who ponders the law of the Lord day and night will yield fruit in due season. (Cf. Ps. 1:2-3)

First Sunday of Lent

He will conceal you with his pinions, and under his wings you will trust.

Second Sunday of Lent

Tell no one about the vision you have seen until the Son of Man has risen from the dead.
*Missal reads: This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him. (Mt. 17:5)

Third Sunday of Lent Year A

For anyone who drinks it, says the Lord,


the water I shall give will become in him a spring welling up to eternal life. (Jn. 4:13-14)

Third Sunday of Lent Year B and C

The sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest for her young: by your altars, O Lord of hosts, my King and my God.
Blessed are they who dwell in your house, for ever singing your praise. (Cf. Ps 84 (83):4-5)

Jerusalem is built as a city bonded as one together.

You must rejoice, my son, for your brother was dead has come to life;
he was lost and is found. (Lk. 15-32)

Fifth Sunday of Lent Year A

When the Lord saw the sisters of Lazarus in tears near the tomb, he wept in the presence of the Jews and cried: “Lazarus, come forth.”
And out he came, hands and feet bound, the man who had been dead for four days.
*Missal reads: Everyone who lives and believes in me will not die for ever, says the Lord. (Cf. Jn. 11:26)

Fifth Sunday of Lent Year B

If any man minister to me, let him follow me: and where I am, there also shall my minister be.
Missal reads: Amen, Amen I say to you: Unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains a single grain.
But if it dies, it bears much fruit. (Jn. 12:24)

Has no one condemned you, woman? No one, Lord.


Neither shall I condemn you. From now on, sin no more. (Jn. 8:10-11)
