About us
Prestar Storage System Sdn. Bhd (PSSSB) carrying ‘MYSTAR’ brand
is one of the leading manufacturers for Racking and Shelving System products
from Rawang, Malaysia. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Prestar Resource Bhd
(PRB), a steel based company, listed on the main board of the Kuala Lumpur
Stock Exchange.

Incorporated in the year 2001, a team of experienced and dedicated Design

& Engineering as well as the Production team, ‘MYSTAR’ Racking and Shelving
products have successfully marketed its products to more than 30 countries
worldwide with less than 15 years.

Due to PSSSB’s constant aims to provide quality and complete range of storage
solutions to wider spectrum of industries, PSSSB is committed to design and re-
engineered its products through an on-going R&D programs. Products are
designed with user’s comfort and safety in mind. In-house loading and usage
tests on products are being carried out on a regular basis.

 Pallet Racking & Its Major Components
Pallet racking is a material handling storage aid system designed to store materials on pallets.
Although there are many varieties of pallet racking, all types allow for the storage of palletized
materials in horizontal rows with multiple levels and mainly is to increase ones storage density.

Normally it is used in conjunction with different type of material handling equipment (MHE) eg,
forklift, reach truck, stackers, vna trucks or turret trucks.

the racking. It which comes in various size and
design which apply based on the total Frame
Load requirements.

For MYSTAR Upright, the C-section profile comes with return flange and center reinforcement ribs to
ensure the strength and rigidity has not being compromised. The lug holes or slots are punched at
50mm pitch which has allowed the horizontal support (beams) to be adjusted at smaller increments.

SHIMS PLATES, are used with base plates when the uprights are resting on uneven floors. Usually
the Shim Plates are equal in size to the base of the uprights and are installed beneath the uprights to
level the rack.

 Pallet Racking & Its Major Components
BEAMS, the horizontal components of rack in which the loads(eg pallets, carton box) are placed
onto. With End Connectors welded at both ends, the beams can be easily hook onto the uprights are
joined onto the upright frames.

For MYSTAR Beams , it comes in 3 main different type, which is BOX BEAM, OPEN BEAM & Z-BEAM. Based
on the beam’s capacities, it is welded with 2 different type End Connector, 5-Lugs or 3-Lugs.
To create a long lasting bonding and having consistent welding quality, both the Beam and End
Connector are welded using robotic welding machine.

The beams are further secure on the upright frame with Safety Lock Pin, to prevent accidental
dislodgement. Two safety pins are located into each beam to give additional protection against the
beam dislodging whilst in use.

 Selective Pallet Racking System
This is the most commonly racking system used, for storing multiple locations and 100%
selectivity. This system offers the most economical, efficient storing and retrieval of pallets.
Furthermore different kind of accessories could be added & customized, based on customer
various storage requirement.

 Double Deep Racking System
Double Deep Pallet Racking is designed to store 2 pallets deep, which consist of two standard
Selective Racks set up back to back. This system has to be used with double deep reach truck
with deal pantograph or extension fork attachment.

The advantages of DOUBLE DEEP Racking System :-

• Increase storage density and capacity up to 30% more than SELECTIVE System.
• Suitable for Last-In First Out (LIFO) operation.
• Convertible from SELECTIVE System.
• Do not required a large number of homogeneous pallet type.

Although with increased storage capacity, but only 50% of pallets can be immediately
accessible. Therefore Double Deep is only recommended for operations that require less
critical picking and storing speed.

 Multi-tier Racking System
Multi-Tier Racking System (MTR) is a mezzanine that is design and built via the pallet racking
components. It can be the most efficient and economical method to create extra floor space
within the building area compounds. Depending on the design and load requirements, its
height can be maximize up until building’s ceiling height.

MTR is most suitable for storage of small to medium size items, which is meant for manual
archive or retrieval methods.

 Structural Steel Platform
Structural Steel Platform(SSP) is a mezzanine but it was built via long steel items, eg I-Beam, RSC
Beam, Hallow Section and etc. Similarly as MTR, based on requirement, there are various type
of Floor Decking Type & Accessories could added to the design of SSP.

The main 2 advantage of SSP is :

• Have less columns beneath the platform.
• Customizable to floor loading as high as 1000Kgs/m2.

 Drive-In Racking System
This is the most preferred solution to conventional block stacking where pallets simply cannot
be stacked on top of each other. It is effective in optimizing the warehouse storage and thus
reducing the number of working aisles. Ideally this system suite for storage of homogenous
products, not time or date sensitive.

The advantages of DRIVE-IN System :-

• High storage density.
• Suitable for Last-In First Out (LIFO) operation.
• Suitable for bulk storage.

 Cantilever Racking System
For storage and retrieval of long items, it is best
to use Cantilever Racking System. It is designed
to manage loads of varying length and
proportion; to be completely accessible from
the front without any horizontal restrictions like
the conventional pallet racking system.

A few example of products’ storage suit to use

such system :-
• Pipes, Steel rods, Tubes, Hollow sections.
• Plywood, Plaster board.
• Carpet or Fabric rolls.

The extended base and added braces will re-enforce

these racks stability & rigidity.

 Dynamic Storage Racking System

Also knowing as Live Storage, Dynamic Storage is consist of a number of systems that to be
added into pallet racking system to work with pallets, tote boxes or cartons. It is suitable for
goods that perish quickly, e.g. foodstuffs. Via Dynamic Storage, it would ensure these product
being stored & retrieve fast enough to ensure the stock rotation could match perfectly with
the expiry dates.

The most common 3 types of Dynamic storage

racking comes in three different forms.

• CARTON FLOW
This is a design which works by inserting
goods into the back of the structure and
removing them from the front.

This is an excellent method of storage
because it means perfect stock rotation will be
achieved. It also offers a good storage density
and each carton is supported providing a
high level of quality storage. Picking errors
could be minimized by giving each product a
dedicated lane.

 Dynamic Storage Racking System
• CART PUSH BACK
This method uses special beams and pushback assembly subframes running front to back
in each bay. The tracks are mounted at an angle so when a forklift truck pushes a pallet
into a bay, the one that is already there is pushed backwards. When the pallet at the front
is removed, the one behind it will roll to the front.

One of the features of this system is that the pallets can be stocked four deep, conserving
space and allowing easy organizing of your stock.

Cart Push Back

• PALLET FLOW
This works in exactly the same way as carton live storage except on a much bigger scale.
Whole pallets can be stored in this way making it ideal for fast moving, perishable goods
that are received and dispatched in large quantities.

One of the main features of using this system is that any size and shape of pallet can be
handled.

 Medium Duty: Longspan Racking System
MYSTAR LONGSPAN 500 (LS500) SYSTEM with ergonomic profiles are designed for medium-duty
warehouse applications yet in a not bulky appearance. With profile design & capabilities that
proves to be stronger that Boltless System and almost similar as Pallet Racking System, the
system can either be used as Storage Rack or Mezzanine System.

The LS500 system is suitable for industrie/businesses that fall into following characteristic:

• Hand-Loaded Storage
The LS500 system is intended for hand loaded storage method, whereby products stored
are placed onto the beams or shelves and picked from them manually.

• Medium-Duty Storage
For storing of products’ weight NOT MORE THAN 1,000kgs.

• Storage & Display Equipment

The LS500 system can be designed and used as storage/display equipments for retail industries.
