READING PROGRAM

(A – M – T)

In the early stage of a learner specially during elementary, a strong


foundation in Reading Skills is necessary, if a learner has a strong
foundation in reading definitely, he/she has a brighter future ahead. With
this paper we want to pursue our Project R-CAFÉ (Reading with
Comprehension, Accuracy, Fluency and to Expand vocabulary) in this
project we want every learner to be A READER. (Roy & Ace) Being a
teacher we acquire knowledge thru’ reading that is being shared to our
students. As a teacher we will provide them books, magazines, newspaper,
and other reading materials in order for them to gain and to expand their
knowledge and make them wonder. (Ron) As their teacher we will give
them activities such as vocabulary hunt, grammar tests, reading
comprehension tests and stress vocabulary test, in which they will
comprehend well on what they are reading and analyze what is given. With
these activities the learners will be motivated think critically, activate,
reinforce their prior knowledge and to expose themselves into self-learning
environment. (James) Once you gain or acquired the desired knowledge
that is the time to share what you have learned by implementing more
activities to engage the learners in reading, such as debates, role plays,
persuasive tasks, innovate, solve and self - assess in order for others to
learn. The learners will then be proficient not only in class but also in other
skills such as, public speaking, and expressing one’s thoughts, ideas and
emotions. This Reading Program will help the learners to be a library ahead
and boost their self-confidence. With these learnings the learners will be
productive members of the society, to be self – evident and prepare them a
brighter future ahead.
