I. PRE-LESSON : STRATEGY:
1. Pupils are given empty layout of a personal webpage. Choose an item.
2. With an example of a webpage shown on the whiteboard,
they design their own personalized webpage on the empty PBS:
layout. Choose an item.
3. Using lollipop stick, a few pupils presents the design of their
personalized webpages to the class.
II. LESSON : ATTENDANCE:
Activity 1 /
1. Pupils read the text in activity A silently for a few minutes.
2. With their talk partner, they discuss the answers for question 1.
ACTIVITIES:
3. To answer question 2, pupils write their answers using the
conjunction BECAUSE, then they share their answers with the
group.
(e.g: He creates the webpage because he wants to share his
interesting life with his friends
It is because he wants to be popular)
He creates it because he wants to impress the girls in his class)
4. They choose the best answer and rewrite it down in their answer
sheet. (PEER ASSESSMENT)
5. Pupils work together in group to find words that are used to link
ideas in question 3. They write the list of the linking words that
they found in their answer sheet.
6. Pupils paste their answer sheet on their nearest wall. Then, each
takes turn to view others group’s work. (GALLERY WALK)
7.Pupils paste their dot-sticker to the answer that they like for
question 2. The best answer will be selected based on the number
of stickers pasted. (PEER FEEDBACK)
8. They may also add linking words to the other’s group’s list if the
words are still not in their list, or to line out the incorrect words in
the list. (FA-PEER ASSESSMENT)
9. After they have visited and helped adding words to their friend’s
list, pupils return to their group and check on their list of words.
Activity 2
1. Teacher assigns number 1 to 8 to pupils and the categories in the
webpage (Activity B). This is to make sure that every category in
the activity is assigned to students.
2. Pupils write details of themselves in the assigned category for at
least one paragraph with a minimum of five sentences, and use all
the linking words in their list. [Less proficient pupils will be given a
writing frame/ or example paragraph)
3. Pupils are reminded to refer to the tip! Box in their textbook if they
are not sure the functions of the linking words in their list.
4. Then each pupil exchanges their work to their friend to read.
5. Their friend will have to underline with red pen for any words that
are misspelled and pass it to the next person to check and
underline for any more misspelled words that were unnoticed
before until the paper comes back to its owner and everyone has
the chance to proofread each other’s work. (DOMESTIC FLYING

6. The pupil then makes his own correction.[For less proficient pupils,
they are allowed to look up the word in dictionary or ask their
friends who underlined the errors for the correct spelling)

III. POST-LESSON:
1. Pupils guess the linking words given by the teacher on mini their
whiteboards. Then they lift it up to show their answers to the
teacher. [FA- MINI WHITEBOARD [QUICK SCAN]
