THE FESTIVAL IN MALAYSIA

Chubby: What are you doing?

Shila & Aisha: We are celebrating Hari Raya.

Chubby: Hari Raya? What is that?

Line 1: (making noise)

Line 2: Syhhhhh……

All: Choral Speakers!

Fizrie: Are you ready guys?

All: Ay,ay captain

Fizrie: What? I can’t hear you!

Chubby: Spongebob squarepants, spongebob…..

All: Syhhhh………

A very good morning to the honorable judges,respected teachers and

fellow friends.

Where are we from?

Fayyad: We are from….. Sapphire United!

All: Why are we here?

Fareez: To present our choral speaking entitled……

Zirah: The Festival In Malaysia

All: Ladies and gentlemen, There are many festivals in Malaysia .


The Hari Raya for the Muslims, The Chinese New Year for the chinese,

And the Deepavali for the Indian. However, In Malaysia we celebrate it

together.

Anie: Together we stand as one!

All: Syhhhhhh…….

Anie: Ooopss…. Sorry!

Shila: Guys, when the Hari Raya was celebrate?

All: The Hari Raya will be celebrated after the Muslims fasting for a month.

During the Hari Raya, the muslims wear the Baju Kurung for the women

and Baju Melayu for the men.

Some of the Indian and Chinese also wear this cloth.

Arfah: What about the Chinese New Year?

All: The Chinese New Year, celebrate on the first day of lunar calendar.

During Chinese New Year,we can see the lion and the dragon dances.

The family will be gathering and having meal.

There are many others activities that we can see during this festival.

The Deepavali will be celebrated on the 14th day of the aippachi month of

tamil’s calendar.

This festival is also known as festival of light.

During this festival, the Indian will decorate their house with light ,

playing fire works and other.

Beside these , there are many others festival that celebrate in Malaysia.

Idzuan: What are the other festival ?

All: The other festival are Pesta Kaamatan and Hari Gawai
Rizal: Pesta Kaamatan….What is that ?

All: Pesta Kaamatan is is a festival that celebrate by the kadazandusun ethnic

in Sabah. It also known as Tadau Kaamatan

The Hari Gawai is the fiest of harvest. It celebrate by the Iban ethnics in

Sarawak . During this festival, they will perform the ‘Ngajat Dance’

Chubby: Wow ! What a wonderful Malaysia !

All: Yes, that’s right. In Malaysia Malay, Chinese, Indian and others ethnic live

in harmony. We live in one. To know more, lets discover Malaysia.
