A. Jose Rizal as our Philippine national hero

A Filipino who has been recognized as a national hero for his or her role in
Philippine history is referred to as a national hero. Loosely, the term may refer
to any Filipino historical figure who has been recognized as a hero, but it more
strictly refers to those who have been officially designated as such. José Rizal
was a man of superior intellect and creative skills who Filipinos venerate as a
national hero. He excelled at everything he tried, including medicine, poetry,
sketching, architecture, sociology, and more.

The reformist writer Jose Rizal, widely regarded as the greatest Filipino hero
and frequently referred to as the Philippine national hero, has never been
notably proclaimed as the (or even a) national hero by the Philippine
government. In his lifetime, he was already admired for his nationalistic
writings and activities. The American colonial administration regarded Rizal as
a hero in particular because, unlike more radical figures whose ideas could
inspire rigidity to American rule, he was conveyed to represent peaceful
political advocacy. Rizal was already regarded so highly that he was dubbed
the Philippine national hero.

B. Life and works of Dr. Jose Rizal as part of Tertiary Education curriculum

It is critical that learners realize why they are required to take a Rizal course in
college. The Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo are incorporated into the
Filipino subject for high school students as part of the overall curriculum.
However, in tertiary education, Rizal is a required subject in any course at any
college or university in the Philippines. Knowing about Jose Rizal's life is
essential to anyone who's ever occurred as well as how the imperialist country
which dominates the colony imposes unjust rules and regulations.

Republic Act 1425, also known as the Rizal Law, requires the teaching of
Jose Rizal's life, works, and writings. Rizal was the founder of Philippine
nationalism and has made significant contributions to the country's current
status; it is only right that the youth and all citizens of the country are aware of
and learn to instill the lofty ideals for which he died. Also, this will allow us to
foster the development of Filipino youth in all aspects of citizenship; it is an
extremely helpful for us to reflect on his life and work that transforms unusual
things into something from which we as Filipinos can benefit.
C. The POSITIVE and NEGATIVE contribution of the Spanish regime in our
Education system

During the Spanish colonial period in the Philippines (1521–1898), the

archipelago's diverse regions gradually unified from a variety of native Asian
and Islamic cultures and beliefs, including ancient religious beliefs, to what is
now known as Filipino culture.  During the early years of Spanish colonization,
education was primarily religious in nature and was strictly regulated by the
Roman Catholic Church. Prior to the arrival of the Spaniards, education in the
Philippines was complex and ambiguous. During the early years of Spanish
rule, education became exclusively for the elite. The period when the
Philippines were under Spanish rule accounts for a significant portion of their
history.

D. The POSITIVE and NEGATIVE contribution of the Spanish regime in our

Government system

Many writers on Philippine history have not treated the Spanish regime
impartially, instead either condemning or glorifying it based on their religious
prejudice. This dissertation is an attempt to demonstrate the spirit in which
Spain prescribed the affairs of the Philippines, but it makes no claim to be an
extensive and thorough intervention of the subject. Overall, the Spanish
regime was not a disaster for the Philip pines, though what's been
accomplished over three centuries was not quite as much as could have been
hoped for.

Changes were both positive and negative. Colonization aided in the

unification of countries under a single language and religion. However,
Spanish colonization had a negative impact by increasing poverty and
discrimination against indigenous peoples. In conclusion, Spanish
colonization was detrimental to the Philippines because it violated their rights
and altered many aspects of the country, including the government. It
modifies the system.

E. Your own expression of nationalism or patriotism

Patriotism is defined as "love for or devotion to one's country," while

nationalism is defined as "loyalty and devotion to a nation." The terms
nationalism and patriotism are considered synonymous. Nationalism is based
on the belief that a person's loyalty and devotion to one's country should take
precedence over the interests and opinions of other citizens or a specific
group of citizens. While patriotism is a love for one's motherland. Love and
affection for the place where one is born and raised, as well as the nation to
which that place refers.
Previously considered synonyms, the words patriotism and nationalism now
have different connotations. While both are feelings of love for one's country,
the values that underpin those feelings are vastly different. Patriotism is based
on the positive values that the country upholds, such as freedom, justice, and
equality. Nationalism, on the other hand, is based on the belief that one's
country is superior to all others. It is, in a sense, a level of sentiment that
overlooks a country's many flaws and considers it great despite them.
