POSTHARVEST DEVELOPMENT AND MECHANIZATION THRU THE RICE
COMPETITIVENESS ENHANCEMENT FUND - MECHANIZATION COMPONENT

WHEREAS, the SAN ISIDRO FARMER’S ASSOCIATION with address at SAN ISIDRO,
AROROY, MASBATE realizes that having control over all aspects of the palay and rice
industry is the only way to advance for agricultural development;

WHEREAS, to improve its productivity and save postharvest losses, the SAN ISIDRO
FARMER’S ASSOCIATION needed to acquire basic production and postharvest facilities such
as:

WHEREAS, the San Isidro Farmer’s Association has a total of 31.1 hectares of irrigated
and 29.5 hectares of non-irrigated rice land of members;

WHEREAS, the San Isidro Farmer’s Association has 31 farmer-members that will be
directly benefit under the project and has access to the services of expert personnel to
manage and operate the said machinery/facilities;

WHEREAS, the proposed location of the project is bounded by rice area with following
details:

WHEREAS, the San Isidro Farmer’s Association has the access in availing/hiring/assigning

WHEREAS, the SAN ISIDRO FARMER’S ASSOCIATION has available cash for the
revolving fund/initial operating cost amounting to Php 55,000.00.

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Mrs. Marilou M. Delera and duly seconded by Mr.
Arvin F. Gracio, it is hereby RESOLVED that the SAN ISIDRO FARMER’S
ASSOCIATION is requesting assistance from PHILIPPINE CENTER FOR
POSTHARVEST DEVELOPMENT AND MECHANIZATION for the acquisition of the
above requested technologies.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that Mrs. Marilou M. Delera, Chairperson/Head of the SAN

ISIDRO FARMER’S ASSOCIATION shall be designated as the authorized representative
to transact with the DA-PHILMECH and/or sign documents for and in behalf of the SAN
ISIDRO FARMER’S ASSOCIATION with respect to the requested assistance, with his/her
three (3) specimen signatures shown below this resolution.
