PROJECT GUIDELINES
MBA-2020-22
Project Guidelines
The student should undertake the project work as per the requirement of the MBA program. The
project work should be carried out for 6 weeks(45 Days) duration during the III semester and submit
project record before end of the 3rd semester. All the students are required to VIVA-VOCE against
project work during the IV semester.
The students are required to do project work in any area of Management under the active guidance of
Internal Faculty Member assigned to the student. The project work usually consists of selecting a
topic/ Problem/Theme in any area of management, gather relevant data, analyse and interpret the
same in a systematic manner (Follow the table at page No. 3)
The Project work should be undertaken under the supervision of the faculty member assigned for the
purpose. The project report Hard Bound + Soft copy completed in all respects should be submitted to
the concerned faculty guides on or before 3rd March, 2022 (Thursday).
GUIDELINES FOR PROJECT WORK - MBA
Project is an integral part of the 2 year MBA program at Vishwa Vishwani Institute of Systems &
Management (VVISM) & Vishwa Vishwani School of Business (VVSB), Hyderabad.
Objectives of Project work
1. The overall objective of the project work is to provide students with an opportunity to gain
first hand insight into the various business functions in an organization and to understand the
challenges there in.
2. Further the students can understand the work culture in the organization, and develop
professional relationship in the organization.
3. The students can also learn how the conceptual learning can be rightly applied to business
situation.
Supervision
During the Project work the student will be under the supervision of a person in the organization
who will act as his/her corporate guide. He/she will provide guidelines on how the student should
work during his/her stay with the organization. In addition, each student will be guided by an allotted
faculty of VVISM & VVSB. The student will be required to report to the faculty guide immediately
after joining the company for the project. The student is required to meet the faculty guide before
departing for the project work and take necessary instructions from him/her periodically.

Report Forms
After joining the organization the student must send a joining report to the faculty guide and
Placement officer in the college campus.

Synopsis
The student has to prepare a tentative research proposal/synopsis in consultation with the concerned

faculty guide as per the guide lines. One hard copy of synopsis is to be submitted to faculty guide and
one to the corporate guide in case of live projects. The evaluation of the synopsis by internal
faculty guide shall be completed, on or before 03rd January, 2022 failing which will not allow to
write University Internals.

Approval of Research Proposal


After preparing the research proposal, the student should preferably have preliminary discussion
with both corporate guide and faculty guide before proceeding further.

Project Report Format


All the students have to prepare and submit three sets of final project report (Two Hard Black
Bound + One Spiral bound & Total project Copied in the CD) at the end of the Project work with
signature of Faculty guide and with Vice Principal / HOD Signature.

Conduct / Discipline
a. The students are required to abide by the rules of the organization where they are
undergoing their Project work.
b. The corporate organization will be taking a strong view of the punctuality and behaviour of
the student during the Project work and therefore the student is required to be on his/her best
behaviour and inculcate the good norms of the organization.
c. In case a student has to take leave of absence, he/she has to take necessary permission from
the organization and the faculty guide before he/she proceeds on leave.
d. In case the student is to take up project based work at the instance of the company, he /she
should conduct it to his/her best capabilities under the guidance of the faculty /corporate
guide.
e. No student should try to copy or use information in such a way that will project false image of
the company. All students are required to maintain strict confidentiality of any information
they come across in the organizations in course of their Project work. The student involved in
any malpractice shall be duly penalized.
f. All students are required to report to internal guide every week and inform about the Progress
of Project work. Last date of submission of the project report is 03rd March, 2022.
g. The students are advised to be in the formal dress during their visit to the organization.

Graphical Presentation – Colour/Black & White


Graphical Number – Each and every Table / Exhibit / Figure must be assigned its reference number.
E.g. Table 1.1, Fig 1.1, etc.

Paper – A4 Size (Executive bond paper)

A weekly monitoring of the students shall be done by individual faculty guides and their progress
shall be recorded on the data sheets provided. Any observation/lapses on the part of students shall be
immediately brought to the notice of Director’s office for further action.
Note: The Student should follow the 11 pages of Osmania University Project format as given
here under. Irregular formats not acceptable.
