ACTIVITIES PRE-LESSON 1. Teacher stands where all the class can see.
2. Teacher points to some of your clothes and elicits any that
students know.
3. Teacher writes Clothes in a circle on the board and writes
the words they say.
LESSON DELIVERY Activity 1(SB page 82)
1. Students look at the picture in their SB.
2. Teacher elicits who they can see(Whisper, his brother and
his mum) and where they are (in his bedroom).
3. Teacher plays the recording. Students point to the clothes
when they hear them.
4. Teacher plays the recording again. Students repeat the
clothes words.
5. Students practise pointing and naming in pairs.
Activity 2(SB page 82)
1. Students look at the chant.
2. Teacher plays the recording. Students listen and follow the
chant in their SB.
3. Teacher checks understanding of new vocabulary.
4. Teacher plays the recording again, pausing after each
verse for students to repeat.
5. Teacher does the chant as a class and then in groups.
6. Teacher makes 10 groups. Teacher hands out a flashcard
to each group.
7. Students do the chant again, standing up and holding up
the relevant flashcard/ pointing to their clothes when they
say the clothes word.
POST LESSON 1. Teacher says the clothes words one after another.
2. If students are wearing the clothes items, they points to
them.
3. If they are not wearing them, they shake their heads.

verse for students to repeat.
5. When students have learnt the song, teacher practise it
with the whole class.
6. Teacher uses the karaoke version of the song for students
to sing in groups.
7. Teacher elicits/checks students’ understanding of other
vocabulary using the pictures.

1. Teacher checks students know what to do.
2. They work in pairs, pointing and saying the clothes and
their colour as in the examples.
