LEARNING OBJECTIVE: Pupils are able to :
1. Use all the senses involved in making the observations on the phenomena or changes that occur.
2. Separate and group the objects or phenomena by stating its similarities and differences.
SUCCESS CRITERIA: 1. Pupils will be able to finds out the sense involved in making observations on the phenomena or changes that occur.
2. Pupils will be able to describe the characteristics used to classify plants.
TEACHING ACTIVITIES : : Activity 1 1. Each group is given sealed containers labellef A, B, and C containing different materials.
(coffee powder, body shower, coin) (TB page 4)
2. Pupils make 5 holes on the lid of each container using a pin.
3. Pupils needs yo observe the materials investigated and predict the materials investigated.
4. After that, pupils take the lid off the containers and observe the actual materials
5. Pupls will compare the prediction answer with the actual materials.

1. Each group will be given some pictures of flowering and non-flowering plants. Pupils observe the similarities and
differences in the characteristics of the plants in the pictures.
2. Pupils are required to cut a picture and attach a picture of a plant according to their similarities and differences in the space
provided.
3. The plant can be classified according to flowering plants and non-flowering plant.
4. Pupils need to separate the picture of the flowering plant and non-flowering plants and create an interesting mobile
classification chart.
: Activity 3 1. Pupils answer question on the activity book.

LEARNING OBJECTIVE: Pupils are able to :
1. Measure by using appropriate tools and standard unit with correct technique and record in table.
2. Record information or ideas in suitable form and present it systematically.
SUCCESS CRITERIA: 1. Pupils will be able to learn how to measure using tools and standard unit with correct technique and record in table.
2. Pupils will be able to record the information or ideas in suitable form and present it systematically.
TEACHING ACTIVITIES : : Activity 1 1. Pupils are assigned in pairs to conduct their own and their partner’s weight loss activities.
2. Pupils uses a weighing tool to measure their weight.
3. Each pair will record their weight readings in the science book and find the weight difference between them.
4. Weight differences for each pair will be evaluated at the end of the activity.

: Activity 2 1. Each pair is given a ribbon, ruler, marker pen, and scissors.
2. Pupils wrap the ribbon around their friend’s head and mark the edge where the ribbon overlaps.
3. Pupils will cut at the marked spot and then measure the length of the ribbon using a ruler.
4. Pupils record the information in the table as shown in the TB page 10.
5. The result of the recorded observations will be shared with other friend.

1. Using, handling, sketching, cleaning and storing the apparatus, science substances and specimens used in an activity with the correct
methods, systematically and sparingly.

TEACHING ACTIVITIES : : Activity 1 1. Pupils will be taken around the school grounds and school gardens.
2. Pupils were asked to see what life was like in the area.
3. Pupils back to class and share their experience together with friends.

: Activity 2 1. Pupils are divided into 5 groups to carry out their next activity
2. Each group is given a small aquarium snd gloves.
3. The leader of the group will go aout and find a garden snail from the science park and put in a small aquarium.
4. Pupils put the garden snail on a white tile and use magnifying glass to observe the garden snail.
5. Then the pupils will sketch and label the garden snail in Science book.
6. Pupils release the garden snail into its original habitat and wash their hand and the apparatus used.
: Activity 3 1. Pupils answer the question on pages 9-10 in the activity book.
