Undersecretary Legislative Affairs, External Partnerships, and Project Management Service SUBJECT : INVITATION TO JOINT BRIGADA ESKWELA AND OPLAN BALIK ESKWELA NATIONAL VIRTUAL KICK- OFF PROGRAM DATE sf May 25, 2020 In preparation for the school opening on August 24, 2020, DepEd shall be implementing the Joint Brigada Eskwela (BE) and Oplan Balik Eskwela (OBE) starting June 1 to August 29, 2020 to engage stakeholders to ensure adequate preparation for the start of classes. To mark the start of the Joint BE and OBE, a virtual national kick-off program shall be conducted on June 1, 2020 which shall be hosted by DepEd Region VI. The program which will run for 2 and a half hours shall be participated virtually by DepEd officials, distinguished guests, regional and division offices and selected stakeholders. Please send your MS Teams email account to externalpartnerships@deped.gov.ph and the EPS will send you the link of said online platform through email. All Schools Divison Superintendents, School Heads, teachers, parents, learners and education stakeholders are encouraged to watch the live streaming of the kick off program via Facebook Live at DepEd Philippines and DepEd SocMob/Partnership Family. The DepEd Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan implementation will be presented along with the new framework and plan of action for the BE and OBE. Our Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones is our keynote speaker for this momentous event. Further, all Undersecretaries, Assistant Secretaries and Regional Directors are requested to submit on or before May 27, 2020, a 60 second recorded statement of commitment to action which will be guided by the following talking points: 1. Support to Learning Continuity Plan (LCP) implementation; 2. Assurance to address the worries and anxieties of parents and other stakeholders on the opening of classes; and 3. Message of hope.
