The document discusses factors affecting the psychological well-being of student nurses under the new flex learning setup in the Philippines. It provides two related literature sources that help understand this topic. The first source discusses how the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the education sector, forcing schools to close and migrate to remote learning. A leading psychiatrist notes that students' mental health issues during remote learning stem from an "interplay of factors", not entirely due to challenges of the new educational system. The second source finds that while over 50% of college students expressed life satisfaction, 40.2% reported poor mental well-being after over a year of the pandemic. Interventions are needed to address student mental health during and after the pandemic. The University

This Related Literature helped the researchers have a better understanding and a wider perspective on the topic gathered. RELATED LITERATURE LOCAL The coronavirus disease (COVID) 2019 crisis has had a significant impact on not only the world's economic, psychological, and social aspects, but also, and particularly, the educational sector. The virus, which initially appeared in December 2019, became a pandemic, forcing schools to close and finally all levels of educational institutions to migrate to remote learning in the new normal education. As a result, traditional educational delivery methods have changed, and learning spaces have been reorganized. To meet the challenge of developing innovative educational delivery mechanisms in higher education, colleges and universities all over the country have tested with distance education, online teaching, remote learning, blended learning, and mobile learning. During the epidemic, almost 24 million pupils in the country returned to school on October 5. Despite the problems that learners, instructors, and parents encountered, Education Secretary Leonor Briones declared the school's inauguration a success. Based on the researcher, students' mental health problems during remote learning are caused by an "interplay" of factors, according to one of the country's leading psychiatrists, who noted that such problems cannot be blamed entirely to the challenges of the restructured educational system. REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE
Presented in this chapter is Local literature and studies gathered from online journal resources used by the researchers who was seeking of this paper as a guide in order to have a more accurate study. This Related Literature helped the researchers have a better understanding and a wider perspective on the topic gathered. RELATED LITERATURE LOCAL The COVID-19 pandemic has been going on for over a year, and it has the potential to have a significant adverse influence on students' mental health. The purpose of this study was to determine the subjective mental well-being and life satisfaction of Filipino college students. A total of 1,141 college students in the Philippines were analyzed for this cross-sectional study. The Contentment with Life Scale and the Short Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale were used to collect data. While 52.8 percent expressed great satisfaction with life, 40.2 percent reported poor mental well-being. Students' mental health and well-being are likely to have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Interventions should be implemented to address the mental health needs of students both during and after the epidemic. Flex-Learning of UPang The University of Pangasinan's Flex-Learning program comprises both on-campus and off-campus independent learning. Flexible learning is a state of mind in which teachers and students are more liberated from the limitations of time, place, and study pace. Where the teacher will facilitate the students' education via phone calls, messages, or social media, and in 1 semester, 6 to 8 subjects are covered.
