A. PURPOSE
Chicken is one of the mainstay food ingredients of many people. Chicken can be
created into a variety of simple but special menus. One of them is made using serundeng
mixture. Serundeng mixture is made from grated coconut fried using spices.
Chicken serundeng is a traditional food typical of Ciamis consisting of fried
chicken with a sprinkling of serundeng. Serundeng is a grated coconut meat roasted with
galangal.
We can use chicken country and chicken village because both have their own
characteristics. Chicken has meat that is softer and cooks faster. While the chicken
village has a more savory taste with a denser meat texture.
The characteristic of chicken serundeng of course is the crisp grated coconut
crack. Additional coconut water and grated also that gives extra savory to chicken. This is
what makes the smell more fragrant. So that the texture of this srundeng chicken recipe is
crispy and not wet, fry the chicken and grated coconut on an already hot oil.

This serundeng chicken menu is suitable for side dishes, served with warm rice,
lalapan, and sambal. It tastes rich in spices, savory, and delicious.
If using chickens should reduce a little amount of coconut water because chickens
contain a lot of water. Use medium heat and plenty of noodles when frying chicken.
Because the chicken is ripe, the frying process is only to dry the outside. Choose a
medium-old coconut so that the serundeng is crisp, legit and delicious.
The secret of the delicious coconut serundeng chicken is to cook the chicken to be
tender with a crunchy seasoning.
