BAND BAAJA BAARAAT

Synopsis
Shruti (Anushka Sharma) is a no-nonsense 20-something from a middle-class Delhi
household. She has a clear vision of her life goals by entering her senior year of college, and
she is focused and determined to attain them. Bittoo (Ranveer Singh), on the other hand,
lacks a definite life aim. As a final-year college student at Delhi University, he spends fun with
his pals while barely passing his exams. A serendipitous and inconvenient meeting (or, as
some could say, fate) brings them together on a rocky road where they become partners in
their own "Wedding planning ka bijness."
On the other side, the rules are straightforward: "Jisse vyapaar karo, usse Kabhi Na Pyaar
Karo." (Don't mix work and personal relationships.) Their friendship and business are pushed
to the test as they navigate the highs and lows of pricey Delhi weddings. Shruti and Bittoo
stumble into one other while looking for themselves, realizing that their scheme may collapse,
as they say, "unke khud ko rules ki bajegi band."

Key Management Lessons:

1. Be ethical

In a scene in the film, Bittoo tries stealing electricity to save money but Shruti strictly tells him
“no cheating in Shaadi Mubarak’. She tells him that this is not the foundation on which they
will lay down their business. Whether you run a top-down or a bottom-up organization,
honesty is one of the most effective ways to establish the work culture that will propel your
company to long-term success. Work culture is all about the values and beliefs that drive
everything your company does, from how it makes its products to the way it markets those
products and treats customers. As a leader, the importance you place on honesty can create
the kind of work culture in which your employees feel empowered and validated.

2. Know your customers and clients

In the movie we see that Shruti, played by Anushka Sharma, is very very clear on the career
she plans to choose, which is wedding planning. There is a scene in the movie where the
scrapbook which she plans to use as a plan of action for ber. It also tells you something else.
It tells you you have to always do your research before you actually take the big step into
your career. She decides to intern with the big boss of the entire wedding planning industry
where she can actually learn the trade of the business and then start doing it. Shaadi Mubarak
gets its first big client by using the information about the latter. Bittoo speaks about the
customer so confidently that there is no possibility of saying no. Anything that makes the
customer think, inspire and even laugh will make him remember you at the time he takes the
decision. If you know your customer and his expectations, then only he will believe that you
can fulfill his requirements. So some research about your customer before approaching him
proves to be a good method to impress the client. Market research provides critical
information about your market and your business landscape. It can tell you how your company
is perceived by the target customers and clients you want to reach.

3. Be ready for challenges

Shah Rukh Khan was meant to dance in Band Baaja Baaraat's last wedding, but his
performance was postponed at the last minute due to a fracture in his hands. Instead of
worrying, the couple banded together and put on a unique Bittoo-Shruti-level rocking
performance. Last-minute modifications should always be anticipated. When dealing with a
problem, don't get too worked up. Make sure you double-check all of your arrangements
before the big event begins. We will likely face many challenges throughout our professional
life. Each step on a career path can bring new expectations and obstacles to overcome.
Preparing for these challenges and learning tips and strategies to overcome them can help
you to be successful.

4. Success is brought about by innovating upon ideas

Shaadi Mubarak's weddings are known for their innovative and distinctive concepts. They
snatched a client from Mrs. Chanda by demonstrating their distinct and imaginative ideas
(their arch-enemy). Try something new in every situation. Spend some time fiddling with the
parts to improve the experience. Although your competitors will host events as well, your
creativity will set you apart. Customers are always curious to hear about new and unusual
ideas.

5. Business success is brought about by efficient team dynamics

Shruti Kakkar is ambitious, confident, and well-balanced throughout the film, while Bittoo is
rash. When they work together, though, they make an excellent team. They work together on
projects, listen to each other's ideas, split profits, and most importantly, have fun. The 'Shaadi
Mubarak' crew is their distinguishing trait. You won't be able to complete and manage all of
your responsibilities on your own. You'll need a dependable, diligent, and motivated crew to
succeed in business. Respecting your team, guiding them, allocating work among your group
members in such a way that they enjoy their work, and injecting positive energy as a team
leader can all help. Make your workplace a happy and healthy place to work.

6. Having a customer-centric approach

Using the information provided by Shaadi Mubarak, the company gains its first large client.
It's tough to say no when Bittoo speaks so confidently about the customer. When it's time to
make a decision, everything that makes the customer ponder, inspires, or even laughs will
stick with him. Only through understanding your customer's requirements and expectations
will he believe you can meet them. As a result, performing some preliminary research about
your buyer before contacting him is a great way to wow him.
