Key Dimensions of Inclusive Education in the Basic Education

1. The Learner- The main stakeholders of DepEd IE (inclusive education) and are encouraged to
engaged in schools activities and programs.
2. The K to 12 BEP Curriculum-the program covers by the inclusive education
3. Development of Learning Resources- Aligned with IE principle shall be utilized to engage
learners
Learning resources both text and non-text based in active participation.
4. Learning Delivery.-all learners are put together to experience diversity wherein educational
programs and services are equally designed based on student’s needs..
5. Educational assessment. Schools and teachers uses varied assessment strategies, methods and
tools/equipment that are adapted to universal quality educational design (UDL).
6. Learning environment. School facilities must be accessible to all learners.
7. Teacher professional development. All teachers as implementer of inclusive education must
possess good characters and is open to diversity.
8. School leadership and management. School and its personnel must have and promote activities
involving diversity and equality to strengthen the inclusive edition of the school.
9. Partnership for Inclusive Education. For continuous implementation of IE(inclusive education)
external partners/stakeholders can be tapped.
10. Governance support. DepEd is responsible for considering the specific needs of its stakeholders
to acquire Inclusive education. Moreover, DepEd must coordinate with the LGU to maximize the
utilization of the Special Education Fund(SEF) and other available local resources.
