About MKSSS’s SSVMM:
Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha (MKSSS), Pune is a 125-year-old parent body committed to
“Empowerment of women through education”. MKSSS, Pune was established in 1896 by the great visionary and
social; worker Bharat Ratna Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve. MKSSS spread over in 60 educational institutes. Shri
Siddhivinayak Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Karvenagar, Pune was established in 1990, by MKSSS affiliated to SPPU. It is
the first higher education college of the Samstha with the objective of upliftment, emancipation and education of
women. It was accredited “A” grade by NAAC in the year 2017 in third cycle. The College strives to cater to the
educational needs of the girl students coming from all sections of the society

About the Conference:

Year 2020 onwards has been marred with SARS-CoV-2 pandemic and the resultant social restrictions have had a
tremendous effect on the health of general population, with resultant mental health issues also coming in
highlight. As suffering and its aftermath together give a new life force to language and society, the 2022 National
Conference on “Stress Management during COVID Pandemic” aims to bring scholars from different disciplines to
debate on the outbreak of pandemic and its impact on human life in general. Various issues pertaining to the
illness and symptoms of mental health issues like anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder,
psychological distress and suicide are welcomed for debate and discussion so that various disciplines can interact
with each other and consequently benefit one another.
