contactor. Contactor failed to operate
either tripped, isolated or failed
FAILED TO PRIME : Lube oil pressure <
0.68 bar g with standby pump running
and start/ cranking initiated. Priming Oil
Pump failure check AC supply to pump;
Oil pressure regulator fault or system
leaks.

RUNNING: Motor requested but not running.
No feed back signal from contactor. Contactor
failed to operate either tripped, isolated or
failed

FAILED TO PURGE: Turbine failed to achieve 3000rpm/ 20 secs after hydraulic start system
energised or if speed drops below 3000rpm whilst purge timer is operating. Hydraulic Start
system failure; Start motor isolated or local stop switch operated.

FAULT CONDITIONS
IGNITER CHECK FAULT: Either main PLC or back Up PLC not requesting for
igniters to be turned on during the start sequence (both plcs must request igniters on
within 1 second of the other). Check for PLC fault; PLC sequencing fault; speed scaling
of either plc incorrect, fault seen by only one PLC. Plc programming fault.
GAS MANIFOLD/ P2 DP HIGH: Gas manifold pressure 0.6 bar > compressor delivery
pressure with Turbine Outlet Temperature < 180°C. Check gas regulator; or gas pressure
outside limits. Check setting of ECU gas ratio.
TURBINE FAILED TO LIGHT: CT temp. < 316°C or TOT <180°C 3seconds (10secs liquid
fuel) after fuel switched on and igniter energised. Check for igniter fault; - Insufficient
fuel :Fuel supply fault; gas-regulator or valve fault.; Compressor bleed valve position.
TURBINE OVER TEMP STARTING: CT temp. >871°C at turbine speed >13000 rpm ECU
fault (incorrect regulation by engine governor) FMV or fuel supply fault, check engine.
TURBINE STAGNATION: Turbine acceleration < 40rpm/sec speed<13000rpm.-
insufficient fuel. Check: Insufficient fuel :Gas regulator; Hydraulic start system;
Compressor bleed valve position

FAILED TO AUTOSYNCHRONISE (ALARM): Switch the auto synch off and then on again. If it fails a
second time set to Manual and synchronise using the volts and frequency raise/lower switches and
breaker close. If still not working switchgear problem.
