The following steps are redundant when using the 'High Quality' option in the Quick Split
Quality preferences. However, in this exercise the steps below are introduced to illustrate how to
deal with a normal, which is pointing in the wrong direction.
The Manual option lets you manually pick each object and flip its normal. It is useful in cases
where the body includes several lumps as it allows each lump to be flipped individually.
Pick the five black faces to invert their normals i.e. they appear white, and click OK.

The following step is to stitch the faces, in order to create a round. This means that the open
edges will be "lost". Therefore, before the stitch operation, the face shown here will be extended,
using its smooth open edge.

default directions are calculated. The direction of the arrows can be set by right-clicking on the
arrow. .One or more arrows can be removed so that their default direction at this point will not be
calculated.
