AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 – UPGRADING THE SALARY GRADES

OF THE NURSES POSITIONS OF THE MUNICIPAL ORDINANCE NO. 23-2021:
“AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE POSITIONS OF ONE (1) MEDICAL
TECHNOLOGIST I, SALARY GRADE 11, ITEM NO. 19 AND ONE (1) NURSE I,
SALARY GRADE 15, ITEM NO. 20,UPGRADING THE SALARY GRADES OF THE
NURSES POSITIONS IN THE MUNICIPAL HEALTH OFFICE CONSISTENT WITH
THE ORGANIZATIONAL PLAN AND PERSONNEL STAFFING PATTERN OF THE
MUNICIPALITY OF ______________,AND APPRORIATING FUNDS
THEREFOR”

BE IT ORDAINED by the 29thSangguniang Bayan of _______________, in

Session, that:

WHEREAS, Section 447 (a) of Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as the
Local Government Code of 1991, provides that, the Sanggunian Bayan is empowered
to determine the positions and salaries, wages, allowances and other emoluments and
benefits of officials and employees paid wholly or mainly from municipal funds and
provide for expenditures necessary for the proper conduct of programs, projects,
services, and activities of the municipal government;

WHEREAS,TheDepartment of Budget and Management (DBM) issued a Budget

Circular No. 2020-4 dated July 17, 2020 prescribing the rules and regulations on the
upgrading of the entry-level of Nurse Positions to SG15, as well as to highlight the
administrative procedures in view of the consequential modification in the position
attributes of the Nurse items;

WHEREAS, TheDepartment of Budget and Management (DBM) issued a Budget

Circular No. 2021-2 dated August 25, 2021 prescribing the rules and regulations on the
upgrading of the previous Nurse II positions by one (1) SG, as well as to provide the
administrative processes for the retention of the position titles of Nurse III to Nurse VII
with their corresponding SG assignments;

WHEREAS,This body finds the amendment of the Modification of Nurse

Positions to be of merit pursuant to the Office of the President Memorandum of the
Executive Secretary dated June 1, 2021 directed the DBM to take the necessary action
to implement the upgrading of the former Nurse II position by one (1) SG, i.e., from
SG-15 to SG-16, as well as the retention of the position titles of Nurse III to Nurse VII
with their corresponding SGs and DBM Circular No. 2021-2 dated August 25, 2021;

NOW THEREFORE, upon thorough deliberation andon motion of SB Member

___________ on first, second and final reading, duly seconded by SB Member
___________, waiving the pertinent rules, the august body –

SECTION 1.TITLE.This Ordinance shall be known as, AN ORDINANCE

AMENDING SECTION 3 – UPGRADING THE SALARY GRADES OF THE NURSES
POSITIONS OF THE MUNICIPAL ORDINANCE NO. 23-2021: “AN ORDINANCE
CREATING THE POSITIONS OF ONE (1) MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST I, SALARY
GRADE 11, ITEM NO. 19 AND ONE (1) NURSE I, SALARY GRADE 15, ITEM NO.
20,UPGRADING THE SALARY GRADES OF THE NURSES POSITIONS IN THE
MUNICIPAL HEALTH OFFICE CONSISTENT WITH THE ORGANIZATIONAL
PLAN AND PERSONNEL STAFFING PATTERN OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF
_________________,AND APPRORIATING FUNDS THEREFOR.”
