5. 1). True. There are some companies who use an employee's appearance as a basis to
whether they should hire him/her or not. Take for example, in modelling, endorsing, or
being a flight attendant, you are compelled to be attractive to pass the companies'
standards. Normally, you must look neat, presentable and charming in order to be hired
2). Yes, just like what we are supposed to envision. He/she works as an automobile
mechanic wherein she/he is expected to and responsible of rectifying cars, trucks, and
any other kinds of vehicles. Getting her hands dirty and greasy is vastly unremarkable.3.)
3.) No, as a bank teller, her only responsibility is the customers or the bank. We cannot
presume her nails to have traces of grease and gasoline as she is not a mechanic.
4). No, an automobile mechanic has their own proper attires which would make them feel
more comfortable whilst working, such as long sleeve shirt, cozy footwear, and other
clothing that would help them stay secured. Nonetheless, an automobile mechanic cannot
be roaming around whilst wearing dress and heels, as the former and the latter would not
be an appropriate attire and it's definitely not going to protect them.

These decorum constitute a professional and mutually respectful business


environment. Without these, you can possibly be tagged as an insufficient and
disrespectful business woman. Or worse, your business would be bankrupted.

Promoting your business is one, but overwhelming the customers are another. Just
like what the clip asserted, you and every other workers are the reflection of your
business. Therefore, you have to behave and talk accordingly, and beware of your
language as well.

Also, these decorum will greatly impact the way people perceive you. It would
strengthen your relationship with your co-workers and it could hopefully promote
business growth.

Either way, I assume that possessing these decorum will eventually lead to success

ACTIVITY 2
1. As a manager, you are accountable to your co-workers and workplace. Manager usually have
meetings that's why they have a lot of appointments. In this case where the manager did not
remember and misplaced the invitation that she/he have agreed to attend with. Obviously, he/she
must be responsible of that agreement and must keep the invitation properly. I think she/he must
have a one place for all the invitation and important things for you to check it regularly. The trust
that have given to him/her might get broken because of her/his irresponsibility. Respect
someone's effort and time.

2. In a workplace they are Business ethics under that is the rules and regulations together with
the guidelines. Dress code is one of it, in every company they have the uniform and proper attire
according to their work and profession and everyone should follow it. He/must read the rules and
guidelines before attending a meeting, It could be a sign of respect and professionalism.

3. The employee/worker must precious the time and must be professional. He/she shouldn't be
late on a important events because being irresponsible and being unprofessional could affect

various things such as project launch and meetings. One must respect other's time and effort
because you can ruined the entire work development. He/she should set her/his alarm to wake up
early and prepare for the project launching. Avoid being irresponsible.

4. We must be responsible on the task and on our works assigned to us. He/She must do her/his
responsibility as a sign of respect to the company and co-workers. He/she prioritise the task
given to her/him especially in presentation. In greeting someone you must be presentable and
approachable, that being said, you have to set aside other things and do important things first like
greeting and offer your hands to them. You must cater everyone before doing unnecessary
things.

5. In a meeting you have to talk and present the task to everyone. You must have the connection
and conversation with them, because if you didn't grab the chance to know and approach them,
they might think that they are not belong and involved to the meeting and they may feel out of
place. Co-workers shouldn't be neglected whether you do not remember them, you have to be
professional. Approach, greet, and try to catching up with them, so they can feel comfortable.
You must possessed good attitude even though you didn't remember them for them to understand
and the meeting would be successful

6. It is properly and great to be approachable and be thoughtful to everyone as a sign that you
have the care for them. But in some ways especially to those people who are struggling mentally
and to those who are not mentally stable, it is okay to know your limits on asking them regarding
to their personal problem that they don't want to spill out. You have to respect their personal
lives and privacy. You should consult them before asking any confidential matters

7. Professionalism must possessed by everyone, when someone is talking just try listen to them
first. When you are done sharing your thoughts and ideas try to give other chance to share their
thoughts too. Try to respect someone as you expect them to respect you too. In planning and
meeting session, everyone could share their idea and give their recommendation and suggestions.
When you want to be heard and respected, you must give the respect to them first.

CHECK YOUR UNDERSTANDING

Just look at this marketing promotion, it state "Save the whales, lose the blubber: go vegetarian"
obviously the intention to become vegetarian is good but the world WHALES with the picture of
fat woman may found very offensive. Women's body shouldn't be compared and described from
the shape of animal's body and feature. Nowadays, body shaming are being mesmerized in the
society, where in fact we should be the one to feel bad about it. Racism, body shaming,
homophobic, and other bad behaviour shouldn't be tolerated. When you do advertisement and
promoting products you should possessed professionalism and evaluate the sensitivity of your
audience and customer. This advertising and marketing promotion is very offensive especially to
those people that have the same body size and feature. This should be banned and reported

When you tend to have a profession or any kind of business, you should be working on your
attitude and be sensitive of different kinds of issue. This actions may refer to the decorum when
it tackles the good behaviour in polite society that everyone must possessed. The marketing
promotion is really bad, that it can damage someone's emotion, that can ruined someone's
confidence, that could make someone depressed and stressed by their body, that can destroy
someone's self-esteem. The promotion promotes body shaming and discrimination. Be reminded
that not all of promotion has their good agenda, some advertisement intentionally do bad
advertisement to catch attentions, be responsible and don’t tolerate such actions like these.
