Q No 1:- What is Matter?
Ans: Anything that has weight and occupies space is called matter.
Example: Book, pen and board etc.
Q No 2:- How many states of matter?
Ans: There are three states of matter. (Solid, gas and liquid)
Q No 3:- How can solid change in to a liquid?
Ans: Heat can change a solid into a liquid.
Q No 4:- Why does a gas has no fixed shape?
Ans: Particle’s in a gas are very far away from each other. They can move
freely in any direction. That is why gas has fixed shape.

Ans: This layer of air is called atmosphere.
Q No 2:- Atmosphere is made up of?
Ans: Atmosphere is made up of many gases.
Q No 3:- Which living things add oxygen to the atmosphere?
Ans: Oxygen is given out by green plants
Q No 4:- How is carbon dioxide added to the air?
Ans: Carbon dioxide is also given out when living things burn.
Q No 5:- What is air pressure?
Ans: The way air pressure down on all things is called air pressure.
