1. Distinguish the difference between renewable and non-renewable

resources.
A renewable resource is one that can regenerate quickly and is replaceable,
whereas a nonrenewable resource is one that cannot be replenished by natural
resources. Natural processes can replace renewable resources as quickly as
humans use them. Sunlight and wind are two examples. Nonrenewable
resources, on the other hand, are limited in amount. They can be used up.
Examples include fossil fuels such as coal.

2. Explain the significance of each form of energy.

Electrical Energy- It is the energy that is conveyed by a charge flow. Electricity is
used to power appliances, computers, electronics, machinery, and public
transportation systems, as well as for lighting, heating, cooling, and refrigeration.

Chemical Energy- Chemical energy is stored in the food we eat. A chemical

reaction occurs when the bonds between the atoms in food relax or break,
resulting in the formation of new molecules. This reaction's energy keeps us
warm, allows us to move, and allows us to grow.

Radiant Energy- Radiant energy is important because without it, there would be

no life on Earth. Radiant energy is the energy that is emitted by electromagnetic
waves and gravitational radiation. Radiant heating is based on the use of radiant
energy. Infrared lights can produce it electrically, or it can be absorbed from
sunlight and used to heat water.

Nuclear Energy- It is the energy released during nuclear fission or fusion, which
is particularly useful for generating electricity. Nuclear power helps to protect the
environment by generating large amounts of carbon-free electricity. It helps to
power communities and contributes to a wide range of non-electric applications,
from medicine to space exploration.

Thermal Energy- Thermal energy provides us with another source of power.

Thermal power plants utilize thermal energy. Thermal energy can be efficiently
stored and used as a backup power source during peak consumption hours or
when power use increases due to seasonal weather.

3. Explain the law of conservation of energy.

The law of conservation of energy states, "Total energy is constant in any
process. It may change in form or be transferred from one system to another, but
the total remains the same.” As well as the law of conservation of energy states
that energy cannot be created or destroyed. It can, however, be transformed
from one form to another or transferred from one item to another. It is also stated
that the overall amount of energy in the universe will never change.
