Q1 For what value of k , > 0 , is the area of the triangle with vertices ( -2 , 5 ) , ( k , -4 ) and
( 2k + 1 , 10 ) equal to 53 square unit .

Q2 If the points (p,q), (m,n) and (p-m, q-n) are collinear. Show that pn=qm.

Q3 The area of triangle is 5 square units. Two of its vertices are A ( 1 , 2 ) and B ( 6 , 2 ) . If the
third vertex lies on the line x – 2y + 1 = 0 find the third vertex.

Q4 Find the value of k if the points A(k+1, 2k), B(3k, 2k+3) and C(5k-1,5k) are collinear.

Q5 In what ratio does the line x-y-2=0 divides the line segment joining the points A(3,-1) and
B(8,9).
