 Important Skills that you can contribute towards the
Organisation
There are mainly three types of skills possessed by a manager. They are conceptual,
interpersonal or human and technical skills. Here conceptual skills indicate mental ability
to analyze and diagnose complex situation. Human skills involve the ability to
understand, communicate with, motivate and support other people. Lastly technical skills
encompass the ability to specialized knowledge or expertise.

As a student of MBA (2nd Semester) from Management Department, I barely possess

technical skills. They need to be learned through formal training programs in special
institutions. My technical knowledge is limited into basic knowledge regarding computer
operations and MS Office.

In this case, I have some interpersonal or human skills with whom I can contribute to my
organization. Like I can easily understand what the other party is trying to say in any
topic or matter. By this I can cooperate with them in any business area. Besides I have
tendency and interest to work in groups or teams as it gives more space for discussion
and reach a better decision.

Lastly, my conceptual skill is basically encompasses analyzing the situation or problem. I

can try to analyze a problem from its root to get a solution regarding this. This skill
mainly requires possessing clear concept or idea about the situation and try to figure out
many alternatives solution for the problem. Here I can focus on the basic reasons or
causes occurring the situation and resolving it.

So, I can say that as a human resource management student I mainly contribute human or
interpersonal skills towards the organization, my conceptual skill is moderate and needs
to improve through brainstorming.
